Is my memory correct in that the "sit reps" were found in message boards and not right with the published clues?

Not only that, but the clues themselves were posted as messages on the lbna talk list. That is how I got the clues to my first finds in 2000-2001, specifically Trish Kurdziel's Magic Treehouse Series here in RI.

My ongoing employment status will depend largely on the HR Director's sense of humor regarding today's upcoming Work Prank...

I am not hopeful.

Oh, yes you are.... We know you're hopeful. Very hopeful. *nodding*

You'll be relieved to know that the Office Prank went off PERFECTLY! Mayhem! Chaos! Gasps Galore! My employment status is, strangely, still intact.

More on this tomorrow (when photos and video are available)...

That is a contradiction of terms.

Nope, I have been "officially demoted".
Ryan says the merger is for "the good of the hobby" and as such, I guess Choi talked him into being "a little more responsible". Meaning, of course, "Don't let wassa fool around on our site anymore." They took away my feather...

Not really happy about that, but I've had a good run, and I appreciate that I have been able to have fun up to now. I probably won't be posting quite as much, since I suspect the "new Moderators" will not be as forgiving of shenanigans. And certainly, now, we have seen the last of "WassaQuest". And I doubt I'll get any more free calendars. sigh....

Even the funny post widget has matured into interesting posts...
:D >>> :|

I guess it really is time to grow up ::sigh::

It's been a GREAT 4 years finding, traveling, hiking, getting lost (we can do a U turn here I'm sure!), coming across snakes, "It's too high...I can't look down!" and becoming dear friends.
Thank you for coming along for your first LB'ing adventure and here's to MANY, MANY more!
Hugs,

There are rumors that you're looking to buy up geocaching.com as well. Any truth to that?

No, we're developing an alternative that we expect to take the world by storm and put them out of business.

Finally, so we can replace the sorry looking gcs with neat looking 'lettercaches'

Can you give us a hint about what this 'alternative' to geocaching is?

I shouldn't really say anything, but it's called 'lettercaching' and involves trading letters, numbers and symbols written on cards the size of LTCs. You try to find the necessary cards to spell out words or phrases and win prizes when you succeed.

Finally, i can dust off my Magellan eXplorist 300 and win a worthwhile prize

We know you're hopeful. Very hopeful. *nodding*

What's all this I hear about Letter boxing anyway? Who would want to hit an innocent little letter with their fist? And what type of person would pay to watch this happen in a ring?

It just sounds very cruel.

Emily, Emily, Letterboxing is an intriguing pastime combining artistic ability with "treasure-hunts" in parks, forests, and cities around the world. Participants seek out hidden letterboxes by cracking codes and following clues. Small boxes are hidden in various locations--usually outdoors, though many are planted indoors as well--and the creator of the box will release clues so others can go out and find them later. No one is trying to punch a letter.

I have received a whopping 31 requests for the Box of Art Postals. Given there are only 10 spots, it will be a tough choice.

So in the spirit of masterpieces and priceless works of art.......I will be conducting a silent auction for the ten spots. The top bidder will be the first to receive the box. It doesn't have to be cash. I will consider US postage, carving material and of course Staedtler gouges. Bidding starts now!

And may the odds forever be in your favor.

Going back to your original question. Have you tried cleaning cabinets lately. I cleaned one a little deeper than the normal straightening and found a slab of pz, one of 2009 pink, and most of a slab of orange. Not a permanent solution but who knows what lurks behind some cupboard doors
Sort trackers by months/years

It would be a nice option to be able to view trackers by the month/year they were either listed or are due; especially in LTC trackers when you want to see which cards are due in certain months without having to scroll through everything. I know it already says on the side, but it gets rather tedious havi to scroll through all of the already completed trackers.

If you click on the "launch date" column in your search results, it does sort the results based on the launch date (descending). Click it again and it'll sort it in the opposite direction (ascending).

You can sort based on the list date as well, but that's an advanced search.
