We already have a correct answer. Rather quick given those two clues.

PS It still isn't Pink Floyd. Although I am listening to Dark Side of the Moon today.

How about Columbus, OH? Close to you and I am only three hours away. Could do some help if needed.

Lots of Ohio boxers. How about it?

Entering Month 5. Still have my parking space!

But, I decided to change things up a bit, and use a more feminine name for the "Employee of the Month" title. Let's see if anyone notices now!

We could easily have done this 6 or 7 years ago when there were a multitude of active boxers in Central Ohio. Now there are a lot fewer. Would you mind to AQ mail me privately?

I don't think anyone asked me about taking it over. If you're interested, you're probably better off to start an entirely new swap, since I'm not sure how many people made cards for it already.

This club is for people who don't particularly enjoy tabletop boxes, and would happily pass them over if it meant more time to talk and exchange with others. It's for people who will happily drive-by a drive-by box on their way to a box that requires a 10-mile hike. It's for people who have better things to do than surf the message boards and talk about letterboxing—such as getting out and doing some letterboxing! It's for people who have ever been accused of being 'elitist' or 'snobs.' It's for people who feel that their logbooks are nobody's business but your own. If you've ever bad-mouthed a store-bought stamp, you might be elitist.

It's for people.... just like me.

just thinking about you.

Now I'm even more excited about visiting! But also have more questions. Where would you go in the summer? (and does it make a difference between late May? And July?) where would you go in October? December? Tytyty!

I started a new swap for the Theme Song tracker & moved the due date out a few months. I invited everyone that was in the tracker first. Then I posted on the boards that there was some openings left in the tracker... which still has two openings by the way :-)

I thought about hosting this one also, & I will if anybody wants me to. But if you host it I have some cards I can send you. If I hosted, I thought about broadening it up a little bit. Like any kind of notable symbols or figures from any religion or belief system. But that's just me. If you host, I will join it. If you just want somebody to host it let me know.

I don't mind hosting. I like the idea of opening it up to all belief systems, too! I will re-list it tonight and send out a message to anyone left on the old tracker.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh yes it does! The difference is like putting bacon in a pan with no flame at all to putting bacon on a pan at full gas burn!!
Summer would be best in Flagstaff, Sedona, Prescott (May through July). Full blown desert areas...May vs June / July. Stay green stay cool. Go brown burn you down (from mid June through July). Course I do live in HADES HOT HAVASU after all. :-D
Ask away...we love our state and love sharing.

Where would you go in the summer? (and does it make a difference between late May? And July?) where would you go in October? December?

As a general rule of thumb, high elevation places are best in summer, and low elevation places work best in winter. So check the elevation of wherever you want to go. =) There's no set number to look for, though. Higher is cooler--which is good in the summer and bad in the winter. Lower is hotter--which is good in the winter, but bad in the summer. A month like May is a tricky one. The low areas might be uncomfortably hot, but the high elevations might be uncomfortably cold depending on the weather patterns in a given year.

But there are areas all over Arizona I really liked. I'd be hard-pressed to pick a favorite!

As a general rule of thumb, though: In the summer, focus on the upper half of the state. In the winter, focus on the lower half of the state. The lower half of the state is a lot lower in elevation (as a whole) than the upper half! In the shoulder months.... you might do either or both. If you're schedule is flexible, you might even choose based on current weather conditions.

Hey there! We are hosting a space event (Space Camp) next May and would love to have a wide variety of carvers represented. Ideas include, but are not limited to, the planets, space explorers, space missions, space movies/books/tv, etc. If you have any space stamps laying around or would like to carve one, we would greatly appreciate it. I set up a signup sheet online with some ideas if you would like to check it out, but obviously there are so many possibilities that we did not list. You don't have to sign up to that list, but can just AQ me here. Let me know if you would like the stamp back.

checked this today. Yes...we are in the desert. The wall was replaced and plants and rocks. So..we guess a digger came in and ripped everything out. So, next step is to make a new box for this location.
Hope to do that in the next week, but might have to be January.
