Nevermind! I see where I made my mistake. I was in the neighbors group when I tried adding a "Friend" to it that was already there - although this person was not a "Friend" yet.
Once I went to the "Friends" group I was able to add this person without difficulty.
Lesson learned for me: If I stumble upon someone among my neighbors that I want in my friends group. Change the group to friends first than add the person.
As I get older I find I make more and more mistakes like this.
Thanks for the help.

I've never seen pink stuff in a 9x12 sheet, but our local Michael's carries a 6x12 sheet. I haven't bought any lately, though, because I was disgusted at the crumbly version and dunno how to trust them again.

Moi?
I'm just waiting for this thread to die. I haven't actually hunted that geocache, it was just described to me as an example of a challenging hide. FYI, there's also a whole series of "Off Your Rocker" geocaches that are hidden on the front porch of a Cracker Barrel restaurant. They're not only always busy, but there's a bunch of windows across the front of the building so you have no idea who all is watching.

I really liked that park, so I may do some more research on that and pay another visit some day. And come back with pruners and my white trail paint for that top section.

I don't think I would plant there either, instead close by. But if you really want to plant there you could always try a hidden in plain sight like a sprinkler head or electrical box. A magnetic key box can work wonders as well. I have one in a rusty old truck in a VERY busy intersection in Key West that has been there for YEARS. Once I thought it went missing and I replanted with an actual carve (was one of my first plants so it was a foam stamp, the shame!!) just to find that the original was tucked too high for those finders who thought it was missing. I had even confirmed the loss too, it was hidden that well!!

Thank you for the interesting and comprehensive suggestion. I am not a premium member so I dont have the option to build a trip. Since we will be commuting to Texas more that road tripping I am really interested in a few awesome stamps to stop for.

My husband wants to take me to A&M so I found the blue diamond clue for the engineering school. A perfect match to our commute to Houston. Next is to find something cool in Galveston for our weekend trip to the gulf. Please message me if you have any suggestions for historically interesting or regionally inspired plants.

Yes, thank you to everyone that made this event possible! It was fabulous! It's a shame that some people didn't take care of the fantastic boxes that were available. I noticed every detail and I can't say enough how intricate and beautifully detailed they were. Thank you for your time and effort put forth for this great event. I hope that the broken boxes do not deter you from hosting again as that would be very disappointing. I truly appreciate all you guys do!

I have tried carrying several different kinds of pens to use for inking finds but am having trouble getting anything other than red to stay wet enough to print. Any suggestions for how to get multiple colors or best pens for inking.
Thanks

50 states postal stamp donations now welcome

Hi all
As anticipated it is very difficult to get stamps from each state - I have piles of lists For people I have contacted in different states some have turned out great and others can't do it - no big deal :-)
I'm reaching out to everyone on this board first to see if anyone would like to donate a stamp for a state not in the below list but here's the catch
The reason for this postal is to have a stamp from each state coming from each state , therefore my first option would be ;
I know the whole mailing the stamp to someone in the state is a far out idea so I realize this won't be for everyone but there are some people who may be willing to do this -
I do have emails out to several people from several states And am waiting to hear back from several of them , so for now the following list is a list of states that are TAKEN and I do not need stamps from those states
I appreciate everyone taking the time to read this email and considering this I know the 50 states postal's are very difficult to do and it takes a village to make it work :-)
New Hampshire
Vermont
Wisconsin
Florida
Colorado
Ohio
Michigan
Maryland
Pennsylvania
Nevada
Hawaii
Connecticut
Massachusetts
Kentucky
New York
West Virginia
Alaska
Oregon
Arizona
California
Maine
Louisiana
North Carolina

You were apparently wise.
I actually found one of those, "Off Your Rocker near China!" (GCJHB3), on 9 Aug 07. It was a challenge, but I found it without any muggles noticing. I acted like I was waiting for someone while I searched. A technique that works is "looking at my watch". I don't have a watch but people are too far away to tell.
I've found a few of Green Jello's letterboxes by using these stealth techniques. She like the challenging urban hides. There's a challenging hide that I've been considering, but I don't want it to go missing in the first three months. I've still got to come up with a really good way to do it though.

Challenge accepted.
What's that saying...? Something along the lines of, "People who say something is impossible should not interrupt those who are doing it".... :)
Not every box is for every boxer. If you do not feel comfortable climbing on a statue, don't climb a statue. Problem solved.

I have a second correct answer from the last clue. You can do it.

It had been more than a year since I letterboxed last, so making it to this event was so exciting for me! Dollbaby and I had a wonderful time! Loved the boxes, decor, meeting new boxers, and catching up with those I haven't seen in such a long time! Thank you so much, hostesses!

I've used Marvey Markers, ColorBox Petal Point and Tsukineko Dew Drop ink pads. I've also seen people use ColorBox Cat's Eye ink pads. They are available at most craft stores. They are also at Amazon.com for those not available at your local craft store.

With the first sentence I was thinking, “The difficult we do immediately; the impossible takes a little longer.” It is the slogan of the U.S. Army in 1942.
However, there is a long history of similar quotes dating back to Charles Alexandre de Calonne published in 1794.
Just don't give us a bad reputation. And if I don't feel comfortable finding it then I'll pass.

Well, yes. There are more geocachers so naturally there are more possibilities for a bad reputation. But there have also been some letterboxes that have had the bomb squad called on them. I just don't want to regret having given you this particular challenge.
BTW, in another of my posts I left off letterbox hides that requires wading or climbing. I'll have to think about where I can plant such letterboxes. I'm not as bold as you are, planting so many urban boxes, but I'm still thinking about a particular, very public place.

Don't forget you have to "huff" the stamp. That means, after you color the stamp, breathe warm, moist breath onto it to moisten it, then stamp. My preferred markers are: American Crafts stamping markers, Ranger Distress Markers, and Tombow bullet tipped markers. I didn't care for the Marvey LePlume, because they dried out and tips wore down.
However, I much prefer using colored ink pads, and my favorite brand is Versafine. The Dewdrops and Memento small teardrop shaped pads are also really nice, and so is Ranger Archival. My Versafine pads are great for my main colors of black, brown, blue and green. They last for years!
