Yule Forest has opened for the pumpkin season and their special Halloween night time experience. I have replanted the boxes. The Woods Working Witch is located in a new spot! Thank you

This is very weird!
At our local event, August 22, a boxer discovered my Stag stamp was missing from my box. But the log and everything else was in good order. On September 26, I returned with a new carving, for the box, but the box was completely gone.

Today, the organizer of our event was hiking below, in a gorge, and by chance, he found my intact box, which someone had moved into the gorge. The thief did the strangest thing, though. He or she inserted a note dated 9/28, saying ,"I took your stamp".

Seems to me the person messed with the box 3 times. 8/22 or earlier he took the stamp. Sometime before 9/26 he moved the box somewhere else, then 9/28 left the dated note and threw it over the ravine. And I don't blame a Geocacher. Sounds like someone wanting attention. Wish he had signed his name!

Meanwhile, we got the new box ready, and it will go into a different tree. Wish me luck with the new one! And let me know if you have had strange, unexpected notes in your boxes!

We watch all the Castle episodes & my daughter has all the DVDs, but she nearly died during the longggg spider scene in the 1st new episode and immediately deleted it from the DVR. We are disappointed with the direction the story line is going. We don't like the tension between Castle & Beckett. The same thing happened last year with Bones & we're ready for that show to end after being avid fans since the beginning.

That certain is weird. Better luck with the new one. I think I'd move it far away from the original spot.

It sounds like someone who does the know what letter boxing or geocaching is, and somehow thought they could take what they wanted and do you the favor of rehiding the box.

I have had a few non boxers ask me if they can take the stamp, or move the box, etc. Weird

Code Black at my hospital mean Bomb Threat

I'm guessing they're piggy-backing on triage color codes used for MCI, Mass Casualty Incident.
More patients than current personal can handle.
Green, Yellow, Red, Black
The range is Green - generally you're not going to die, chill until we can get to you, to Black - dead or dying, little or no chance of saving, especially when there are others who may be saved.
I like Luis Gusman, but I get tired of the frenetic medical dramas.

The stamp is clearly marked in bold letters, "Do Not Take Stamp". This is someone oppositional, with this response.

I never thought of someone wanting to move the box.

I have heard of people vandalizing boxes before--people who know what letterboxing is and deliberately follow the clues to a particular box in order to mess with it. Sad and stupid, but it happens.

Hopefully this is just someone misguided who thought they were doing the right thing, or at least someone who found the box by accident, but just in case, maybe you should put restrictions on your other boxes to prevent this person from accessing the clues.

Maybe someone found it by mistake & took the stamp.... later felt remorse & replaced it, but didn't rehide it well (since s/he is probably not a letterboxer, after all!).... and another muggle came along, found it, & tossed it into the ravine!

Yeah, but all a cacher has to do is drop a canister with a scroll of paper at a location and get the GPS location. That's it. No effort.

We can hide boxes in a cache desert and in a few months/years time have caches everywhere around the box that was once safe.

Check with George. It looks like Fleetwood7 will not be a part of a team. I had to back out and so does AFD and Little LuLu.

Have fun. Pick up my logbook for me, please. AFD was going to bring it, but now he can't attend.

Gary has been in the hospital for almost 8 days. He's home now and okay. AFD had surgery.

I have had one planted since 2012. Needless to say I cannot find the clues to list it!! It's up by Ottley's Plantation. If you never been, go there for their Sunday brunch. DELICIOUS!!
As for the box, to in depth to try to tell you where to go. Got to find those clues!!
There is also a box up at the top of Nevis's volcano. But it is a hike!

They must have accidentally found it, because it was the 5th box in a series, and the other 4 boxes are fine. [Knock on wood!] I do have restrictions.

I am sure they knew it was the wrong thing. Box, stamp, and log are all well marked, and say they are property of Sunia, etc. We noticed litter behind the area: empty cans. So, teens/youth must be hanging out there, now. The trash was not there when we put the box in.

Could be. But before tossing it, why tear out a log page and put the date note on it? Like a letter in a bottle, out to sea?

Hi friends,
Amy and I are planning on taking Matthew (9) and Brooke (5) to the Roger Williams Zoo Event on Oct. 11th. I see there are more than 150 other letter boxers attending. Are any of those participants kids of similar age? (I am sure some of you feel that age at heart ... or maturity😀)

My kids are very outgoing and would love to meet other kid letterboxes!

*ahem*

"near future":

1) Measurement of Wassatime roughly equivalent to a typical educational year.

2) A number of days inversely proportional to the amount of productive thoughts in a moose's brain at any given time.

3) Somewhere around the vicinity of 6 months

So, I had this sign printed up, and I installed it yesterday.

https://goo.gl/photos/eM4uN79Cgp7Rw13R6

So far it has worked! Nobody has parked in my spot.

It's been over a month, and NOBODY ELSE has parked in my spot!

However, in order to perpetuate the illusion of authenticity, I figured the "Employee of the Month" needed to change now that the month is over.
So...

Two+ months. Not ONCE has my space been violated! But, just to be sure, it IS a new month, so time for yet another name-change...

OK, so I have done what I mentioned in a post a while ago. I have a made a website specifically targeting scout leaders who have heard about letterboxing but don't know much about it or how to take their group to do it. It is definitely not a replacement for AQ or LBNA, but rather a pointer to them, with the addition of tools for teaching it to a group. So if I have accidentally duplicated content or stepped on any toes, I will be happy to modify it so that it isn't so. In my area, few scout leaders really understand letterboxing and yet there are all these troops planning to "make one" so that they can earn a badge. So this is my stab at getting them on the right tracks.

Would you mind please checking out and letting me know if there is anything important that I have omitted, or things that I should just use a link to somewhere else (for instance, I'm not touching the subject of badges, that is already well covered), or things I should remove? I appreciate it. I will be passing out flyers with the URL at an event with 2000 Girl Scouts and leaders this weekend.

Seems like a great page; thanks!
My only small suggestion is to point to this board rather than a general "check out the boards on AQ." I think the boards can be overwhelming so knowing which board to start with might be helpful.
