photopam Subject: Old children's reading textbooks illustrated
Author: photopamProfileContactLogbookNote

I have a lot of old children's textbook that are illustrated, in color from the 1950s or so. They are storybooks with darling illustrations. I can photograph them if needed.

I know some have mentioned an interest in collecting these. I just got a carload more and am still going through them, so I don't know exactly how many I have. I can list titles individually or just sell by the book. They list for about $5+ a piece online.

All money goes to our local library to keep doors open and help buy supplies for the summer reading program. :)

Thanks!

If you see "The City Under the Back Steps" by Evelyn Lampman, set that one aside to sell on eBay. Check out what it lists for on Amazon, and what someone is trying to get for it on eBay. Yikes!

A project my group of ladies worked on last weekend reminded me of this thread.

We made these out of dollar store books.
http://www.atlasquest.com/gallery/viewalbum.html?gAlbumId=4251

You could do it with your books, they have plans for lots of different things you have to adjust for your book size. Then make a bunch with the books you have and sell them for a small fortune each at a local craft sale. I just love the one I made.

Interesting idea.
My mom made Christmas trees out of some of her old books.

Some of these books have beautiful illustrations in them and I just couldn't possibly fold them like that. maybe the old textbooks...

I am liquidating approximately 1/3 of my huge Winnie The Pooh & Tigger collection. I've listed many items on eBay - my seller name is Sherlock_Tigger_Holmes - but I have not listed everything yet. I haven't listed any of my SERICELS as I would prefer to handle those sales directly. If you're interested in the SERICELS or would like to make an offer on a large number of the ebay items, please AQ mail me.

Thank you very much. It's slow going (getting everything listed). I have at least 3 more plates plus 2 sericels plus another collector item (stamps/coin).
LOL - I'm hoping more items don't show up in other boxes.

A small sampling:
The Black museum
The Shadow (LOTS)
Comedies
Westerns
LOTS more.....

Thanks much!

Why don't you try listing them on eBay in groupings. Unusual things like this is what sells best on eBay.

Hey, Susan Alcorn is a friend of mine! I recommend her book, 'We're In The Mountains Not Over the Hill'. She got a lot of input from folks aging gracefully, but still hiking. I was too young to help at the time, LOL.

I would love for you to choose any image of a lion and lamb...together or separate - completely up to you that you would enjoy carving. I have a collection, and I love them all...the 'store boughts' (I'm not a stamp snob ~ lol) and especially the carved ones. Thanks!

If you PM your address I will pack it up and send it asap!
