I put in "Robinson Hill Rd, Endwell, NY".

I'm not sure what to tell you. There's gotta be more to this story, though, because I even went so far as to log into your account, typed in exactly that as the location, and it worked just fine. It gave me that option Broome County, at least, and I assume that's accurate. Didn't even need a custom location for it to work.

More details please! What happened when you typed in "Robinson Hill Rd, Endwell, NY"? You just said it "wouldn't take it," but were there any error messages? What options did it provide when you entered it. Details! Details!

When I was single, I tried to get 1000 a year. Which in the Northeast is not all that hard, especially on a teacher's work schedule (aka summers off etc...) and cheap gas. Of course, since I got married, gas has gone up a couple of dollars a gallon, and I have a five year old who doesn't like the outdoors very much (and a noxer husband to boot). So, I haven't gotten out as much as I would like.

This year, with the kid in kindergarten, and me without a job, I might have gotten a lot of boxing done since the spring..... Though it doesn't seem like I've made too much of a dent in the amount of boxes in CT..... Too bad I need to get a job. I was starting to really like boxing during the week.... sigh.

I can get you up to 1000 no problem Andrea. Come on up to New England! Keep in mind it took me 12 1/2 years to get to 8,000!

Some of the crazier things I have found:

A naked older gentleman in a really nice classic car...I was wondering why all those young handsome men in nice cars kept driving by the secluded loop of the state park... Turns out they are called here they are called "pickle parks"

A backpack with a stash of marijuana and a green glass bong.

And most recently, following some really straight forward clues... A cell phone charger in a Baggie under pine needles. Then digging deeper hoping to find the box, a cell phone wrapped in 3 baggies wrapped in a DC metro map. Still determined to find the box, looking under ALL the trees... A shopping bag hidden under pine needles containing a brand new looking pair of sneakers. What a strange strange day.

That would really make me concerned. I have watched a bit of too much crime drama TV though.

Okay, how many people clicked on koalacat's link expecting to see a picture?

I was searching a box one time, pretty sure I found the spot, but found a box nicely wrapped up in Sunday comics. Opened the corner and looked in to find two nice, expensive bongs. At least that is what the police told me.

holding her pet skunk! What??

It's Florida, we're home to the Miami weird magnet. You're surprised? ;)

I've never seen anything crazy while boxing, but then again I have a pretty high crazy tolerance, so what I think is nutso might be horrifying to others.

One time I went geocaching and the cache was supposed to be about 20 feet inside the edge of a wooded area by a Walmart. I walked in with my son, and a homeless guy was sitting on the cache (which was a 5 gallon bucket). He waved at us, and we ran away!

they said they would cover to have the house fixed if it fell on it but they would not cover the cost just to remove it.

Similar situation for us 3 years ago in a wind storm. Fifty foot juniper's (cedar's) trunk snapped in two and the top part fell on the deck. Insurance paid to fix the deck because it is attached to the house and remove the tree. They also re-shingled the whole roof. We were lucky the damage wasn't greater.

Okay, at first, I found it funny and still do a bit. Now though, considering a few people clicked agree without finding it amusing - REALLY?

Do you all really think I am going to post pictures of some couple on the internet, let alone TAKE the pictures of some people having sex in the woods? REALLY? While it was in a public place, it is an invasion of privacy, and probably illegal. Really.

Then there would be the AQ repercussions. The post would be deleted faster than.... a new box added (got nothing here). Ryan would probably ban me for a few days. Really.

I told it back when it happened three years ago, and posted the link to the board post. You all need to get your head out of the gutter. Really.

Geesh. Happy New Year everyone.

Although it seems odd that that one and one other box now show up as personal travelers when they're not what I think of as PTs.

They _ARE_ personal travelers, it is just the person changes on them. But if you don't find the person with the box, you can't stamp them. Therefore, meeting a person is required therefore, it is a PT.

OK, that makes sense. Although I think an argument could be made that they are WOM boxes.
