I had a truly joyous first Sunday of Advent. My husband and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary and we were blessed with the arrival of our 1st grandson. He is joining 4 granddaughters. It was a perfect day.

If this change goes like most things online, at first I'll be confused, then I'll figure it out, and in a week I won't remember doing it any other way. The human brain is a marvel of adaptation :)

Unfortunately, I can't take a screen shot on this computer. I will have to find another computer. Though, somehow between last night and this morning while I slept, my text size reverted back to small text (I put it on normal text last night to see the difference). That doesn't bother me though since I have always liked the smaller text.

I guess it's my OCD that things aren't lined up that bother me. (Especially on the very bottom where the comments for the boxes are). I find that I have a hard time reading them now. I understand to not want to scroll, but I find at least on the "big screen" (aka computer), that it's too busy for my eyes to fixate on. Just my two cents.

Thanks for letting me know though that I can hover over the check mark (I must not have gotten my cursor close enough to see that).

I know that RIClimber likes the horizontal lines (did I see him post that? I think so, but I dunno), but I'm finding that they are distracting. Again, just my two cents.

I am donating a stamp 2x3 inches. Going to send it in a non-bubble yellow envelope. How many stamps should I slap on that?

Eliminate the hassle of insufficient postage and take to PO to have it weighed IMO

Thickness counts too. I taped down the patches I sent out so they wouldn't bunch up and require additional postage.

I just sent a 2x2 stamp in a bubble mailer with 4 LTCs and a card for $3.15 from the pack and mail (5% markup). I am not sure if that helps.

I would probably go to get it weighed.

Rgang, Granny Butterfly & Coffee Mug hosted an event in Zanesville last year even though they live over 70 miles away! I'm not sure they'd recommend it, but they showed it is possible to host an event in a different city from where you live.

Columbus is great because it's right in the middle of Ohio, so it's a convenient drive for everyone, especially in the winter when the weather's iffy.

I think we should consider reviving the event - instead of 'DUMMB founded in the Middle of Nowhere', we could call it 'REMOTE' (Retail Escape - Mid Ohio Thanksgiving Event)! Hold it somewhere in the greater Columbus area (not necessarily the DUMMB counties), but see if some people from further away could help with planning & hosting.

:)

I taped it to the middle of a scrap book card stock the size of the envelope. It would shift around all willy-nilly.
Hmmm... I put 8 forever stamps on it. Sound good?

I would think that would be more than enough. I forgot to mention, my 3.15 bubble mailer was covered in fancy red and white duct tape too. That probably upped the weight a little.

Disclaimer: I am not anywhere near an expert on postage. lol

I am just so sick of our post offices now. Hosts having to pay to get the packages bc that worker doesn't agree with our worker. Smh. And everyone is sick and angry in line. It broke my ocd. I bought stamps.
Also, where I lived before, I couldn't use my mailbox. People constantly raided it. Now I have a bona-fide usable mailbox! :-D
I wanna use it gershdernit!! :-D ♥♥

Definitely! You've got almost $4 in postage there.

5 quarters weigh 1 oz; a standard sized paperback 1" thick weighs around 8 oz. to help you out until you get a kitchen scale for Christmas <G>. I love mine!

I'm home sick today... but I thought I could manage to finish up a set of cards for a swap. Instead, what do I do? Dump a whole jar of shimmering embossing powder all over myself and the floor... I think I should have stayed in bed : (

The cure for the illness - sorry I don't have that, a good vacuum job and wet paper towels will help the powder. Such a bummer!

Hugs to you my friend.

I am not feeling so jot myself. I'm on one side of the couch and the girly is on the other side of the couch. We can be all pitiful together.
