It's that time again! Time to exchange vacation postcards!

Whether your vacation is at home or away, get some postcards to exchange. Put your signature stamp on it, decorate it if you would like, and as a new twist, boil your adventure down to 3 words, such as:

bears
s'mores
sunsets

whatever you enjoyed most!

I'll administer the exchange. Let me know if you are interested and once I get a list and addresses, I will send it out to everyone so you know how many and who. Please send your postcards out by September 13th. Let's limit it to 15 people.

I would like to do this! Postcards are great. We send postcards out every time we go off on a trip and one to ourselves with a note about our trip. Our future trips will now also have a local stamp on it. Off to Texas in 3 weeks.

Question. Is it one postcard per person or one from a couple different places per person and do all of the cards to the 15 need to be the same or can they be different?

Has anyone else been having issues with the postcrossing site in the past 24 hours? I can sometimes get on for a minute, but if I click to do something, I can't connect. I did manage to register a card today, and get an address to send one, but when I tried to upload an image the connection failed. I tried to register a card yesterday and had the same thing happen as soon as I tried to get past my home page. And also when I tried to check on my traveling cards. Even tried a different browser which seemed to work a bit better, but then the same stuff started happening.

I just checked it, I'm not having any problems. I'll let you know if that changes.

This will be a different postcard than whatever I send for the vacation postcards. I will also put a hand carved on site, stamp on it. I'm doing it as a gift, no exchange needed, so I don't have the added pressure of hosting a swap. Hehe. And also just for fun, as a challenge to try to send postcards from Asia. I've never done that before, I always just bring them home. Then I don't mail them! I have never bought postage in Asia, so I'm a bit nervous about finding a post office or a place to by stamps, but I am up for a challenge.

Fingers crossed that you have better luck with mailing in Phillipines/Singapore than I did in India.

Bought the postcards and international postage from the gift shop at the nice hotel we stayed at. Addressed about a dozen of them. Added the postage. Gave them to the front desk and asked that they be put in the international outgoing mail -- in perfect English, he replied "no problem" and appeared to place them in some sort of mail bin.

2+ years later and not a single one made it. :( Guess I'll have to try again.
