Alrighty then, I think the "map checked" button works correctly now--even if you use the "check all" button. =)

I, personally, haven't tried mounting on laminate... but I have mounted my stamps on a piece of balsa wood I got at Michaels. They're usually sold in one long piece and you can cut them down to the size that you need. I would encourage you to get the foam and put it between your stamp and whatever it is that you are mounting your stamp too... you tend to get a better impression when you put the foam in between the stamp and the thing you are mounting the stamp to. When I use the blasa wood, I buy the wood glue to glue it all together.... including the stamp.

Good luck!! :) Hope that all made sense... :)

Yours in 'boxing,

My daughter and I watched the season finale of White Collar last night. Without going into details, a portion of it involved solving some clues to find an object at Fort Totten, in Queens, NY.

I turned to her and said, "this is like finding the best letterbox, ever!"

She turned to me and said, "you're such a geek"

LOL

StasiaBoo, Great info! I am looking at those areas, Bothell, Kirkland etc... I also like Mukilteo but not for a commute to Renton which could be possible. Housing is definitely higher, more than double what we find here in St. Louis.

It would not be safe for people to be wandering outside looking for a hidden box there, as it has large, dangerous beasts.

Zombies?? Dragons? Teenagers? There are is no place in the US with animals so dangerous that a typical boxer would be seriously threatened by them and be afraid to go outside.

I admit I did laugh at the dangerous beasts, thanks for the giggle! Then I see it says animal preserve. Aren't the animals kind of enclosed, if they are dangerous? Just curious.

Sounds like an interesting place for a letterbox!

If indoors it would be fun to have it inside a flower pot, hollow book, etc.

Ok, TurkeyFeathers, people like the ideas.... do you want to host one, or do we each pick an idea and host. Maybe one idea per month!

How do we host these, anyway? Like PAL Day, just make a tracker so people will have a reminder, and then just see if people plant them? Is it considered a virtual event?

When in AK on a trail that was known to have had grizzly bear attacks we opted out on a box after hiking for a bit in those qtip pines you can't see thru. No bear spray nor Smith and Wesson. This comes from someone who doesn't leave boxes behind. Just didn't feel good about situation at hand.

Hey, everyone. My dad is in the ICU and has been since Monday night. I'm down here in PA (I live in CT) taking turns with my sisters and his wife keeping him company but he isn't conscious yet. Basically he had a cardiac arrest on Monday evening. It's very hard to know anything right now, as far as outcomes, but we're all pulling for him. If anyone could send some healing vibes to my father, Jim, right now, we'd really appreciate it.

"Lions, and tigers, and bears. Oh my!"

That sounds like it needs a Wizard of Oz stamp to me.

Of course, there are fences. But you never know where a determined LB-er might wander. If I was there to see the place, I would consider the hiding-under-a-pot idea, but I don't know the place. I don't know how often the pot would get moved.

Since it is a B&B, do you know if they have a library or book shelves in a common area? Consider hollowing out a book and having your relative put it on the shelves.
