since when did it become acceptable for kids to not dress up at all and adults to collect candy with no kids??

Since the generation of "adults" who collect candy missed getting on the grownup train.

They stamped my deposit slip with a Jack-o-Lantern stamp. What heck is wrong with me?! I was thanking them & thanking them & thanking them. They were staring at me wide eyed. Especially when I smiled huge & said
"SunTrust Bank, Franklin, Tn, HALLOWEEN DAY!! :D A JACK-O-LaNtErN!! A J a C k- O -l A n T e R n!! So perfect! Thankyou!!"

Im sure they thought I was being a smarty pants. I took a breath, bowed my head, & calmy said
"i like stamps". Then I slowly walked out trying to look as not crazy as possible. I probably looked like I was wrapped in invisable mummy wrap.
So, the only other SunTrust is across town.... Ugh.

I'm in his Tarot LTC swap, and I know he had us holding off on sending because he had to move with very little notice at the beginning of October. I'm guessing he's still sorting all of that out, and will be back when he's able. :-)

I think I'll have some New York style pizza for dinner tonight. Ok show of hands, how many of us New Yorkers have been to the Statue of Liberty? Not me, and I've only been to the City twice. Not that I don't want to go down, I just don't like driving in large cities.

Can the Green Tortuga come up with a theme tomorrow for "Boston" since they will be celebrating their World Series champions, Boston Red Sox. After all, the New York teams did not make it to the Series.

We try to take the trains when at all possible. Aside from the Amtrak trains and multiple stops along the Hudson, there is a regional one that runs from Poughkeepsie down to the city too. It'd get expensive if you used the trains all the time. But if you're only doing occasional trips to the city, it's really convenient. The added bonus is not having to worry about traffic, parking, bridge tolls, etc.

I haven't been to the Statue but I have sailed by it countless times. A friend had a sailboat docked at Liberty Landing. I lived in Hoboken for a year and a half and we were in the city four or five times a week. Sometimes we took the PATH, sometimes I drove. Driving in NYC is like GAME ON with the cabbies.

Jo and I had a marvelous time last night at the Happy Halloween Meet and Greet. GreenJello put out so much effort and we are extremely appreciative.

We loved meeting and stamping with boxers we've only known on the boards or have never heard of before. We loved the food (thanks for the veggies - they were needed), we had a blast on our first night boxing adventure, we thoroughly enjoyed the conversation, the company, the stamps, the entire evening.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome to your excellent and beautiful area.

Well I sure didn't want to see Laura go last night. I like her and hope she is able to come back into the game.

Neither did I but when she pulls a bird-brained stunt like 'spilling' the intent of the vote without checking first with her alliance, all bets are off! Old Blue and I wondered how much Rupert was squirming when he viewed it! "Nooooo, Honey! What are you DOOOOing?"

So true! I couldn't agree with you more. She blew it and was rewarded for it. Oh well, on to another favorite. Although I am not sure who that is right now.

The first week of the month is always a state theme. This month just happens to be New York because New York was next alphabetically. Has nothing to do with the World Series. Ryan isn't in the habit of making themes for sports championships.

No, I don't have a scoring gadget. I just do it old school, by measuring, marking with a pencil, then folding (and hoping it folds straight). But I'd really like to get one of the paper cutters that has a scoring insert thing. My big fancy paper cutter, that folds up for travel and has a light, doesn't seem to have a scorer!

Not sure I understand the point of "N/A" as I could just email the planter.

If the planter is no longer playing, there's no point emailing them. But posting a comment helps the next finders. The tagging feature could be used on caches that you post N/A logs on.
