Would anyone be interested in a spring boxing event in the eastern panhandle of WV. Would want to due in in March or earl April. Looking at the spring there aren't any east coast events from Jan-April.

Post it, and we will come - schedule permitting.
I think a group of Marylanders were planning a late February event...

Interested! But never been to an "event." Probably have at least one other person who would be interested as well.

Found them and loved it! We went on Thursday night to find them, hoping to still have the chance to be the first finders. We somehow accidentally found the last box first and someone had already stamped in. She had done the same thing as us... Found the last box first. She was still there looking for the same two boxes we were! Fun times :) Lived in the area for 5 years and have never visited the park. We loved the short hike... Even had our three year olds with us. Thanks for planting!

Pumpkin Moonshine & the Wolf Box

Just a note to mention that my limited-time box Pumpkin Moonshine is back in place and will be available for the month of October. (Lest the title mislead you, this is based on another of Tasha Tudor's children's books--completely G-rated & has nothing to do with alcohol :) )

While I was out in the park I checked on another nearby box, the Wolf Box. I'm sorry to see that the clue for this one has been archived on LbNA, because the box is still in place, with its original (storebought, but who cares) stamp & logbooks dating back to August '02. It was quite cool to see that piece of letterboxing history.

Are they looking for a new home? Or are they willing to take a cross country temporary trip so maybe some Alaskan boxers could see them?? :)

Just wanted to put April 12th in Northern Virginia on your calendar - still a bit of fine-tuning to do for start and end time...but the date is firm!

It came together a bit more quickly than we expected, so we'll have the fun of singing 'We Didn't Start the Fire' while the weather's still cool enough to make it bearable.

New York City boxing?
Board: Region: Mid-Atlantic

I'm attending a workshop in NYC in the Wall St. area in a few weeks. Of course I have to find a box or two, right? But when I use the address of the hotel in the Search function, it can't find the address and shows boxes that are miles away from there. I'm not familiar enough with NYC to be able to figure out where to begin if it can't find the hotel address. Can anyone point me to a good box to start with so I can use the 'Nearby' feature after that? Thanks.
Peace

Start with this one:

There aren't a lot down by Wall, you might have to travel uptown a little, but NYC is easy to get around with mass transit. Just plan it out before you go and you'll have a great time!

You can also used the zip code 10017 which is mid-town. There are a few boxes here also. Mainly in the TimeSquare area within a few blocks of each other.
