Hubby and I found it while on Vacation one summer waaay back in the day.

The water is clear and cold, the slide down is thrilling. Was surprised to see that they actually had a lifeguard on duty.

2 hours and 41 minutes, according to Google.

*giggle* this is what crawling around in the mud and then driving home in absolutely pouring rain does to one's brain.

Or you could just give us the blacklist back, so that I could intentionally block 2 people

Blacklists don't really block anyone--they just generate more accounts so people can get around the blacklists. And more than one feud has started on AQ because someone found out they were on a blacklist--which kind of surprises me since they didn't even like the person who blacklisted them in the first place. "Why do you even care? You don't like their boxes!" "It's the principle of the thing!" *shaking head*

Book Eater used to get golf ball sized welts form those buggers. I found that tea tree oil stops the itch and reduces the swelling.

Don't smite me but, well..., am I the only person who thinks this show is, uh, lame? Some of these contestants are really bad actors. Their phony shocked looks, the contrived drama, the crying, Melina's constant "OMG" intonations - did the producers forget to tell these people that it's all pretend??? Do they actually think people are really dying?

I didn't even know/remember it was on tonight and watched Under The Dome instead. Guess I didn't miss much, huh? lol. Still I might pick it up on demand tomorrow. I thought it was okay, not great, but okay last week when I watched it. I may be more inclined to watch the dome instead.

Let me know if any of them find a letterbox. lol

I agree, it's a hoot! But I'm enjoying it nevertheless...

I should have rewound it at one point... when the group entered the bedroom to look for clues, seems like I remember the 1st shot showed them entering, the one guy immediately turned to look at the back of the door. Camera changes to something else, then one of the girls "discovers" the burn marks on the door...

Like I said, wish I'd verified that...

Honest to God, honey, I thought everybody knew. I first went down it when my oldest was two. Scared him to death when I went under water. I came up and could hear him screaming his head off "Mommy!" from the viewing platform. Todd said he thought I was dead. Poor baby.

I can't help it if some of the flatlanders are uninformed. ;-)

The pool is about fifteen feet deep at the bottom and you slide on your own recognizance, which means you get people sliding who barely know how to swim and sometimes kids who don't know how whose parents let them go with life jackets on.

They have lifeguards at the top and bottom when its busy. Don't wear clothes that can't get torn up either. Those are rocks. Seats can get worn out of britches. :-D

Hi all,
I'll be visiting the Los Angeles area later this week, arriving on the night of the 4th. Is anyone interested in meeting up? July 7th (Sunday) or July 9th (Tuesday) would probably be the most convenient days, since my boyfriend and I will be attending a wedding in Dana Point and Irvine for much of Friday afternoon and evening, spending all of Saturday at Anime Expo, and Monday at Disneyland. We're leaving on Wednesday the 10th. Sorry for the short notice. Hope our schedule won't conflict too much with everyone else's!

Don't use the benadryl cream or gel if you are also taking benadryl tablets. You can also cut back to only one tablet. I never take a full adult dose because it does knock me out.

Hydrocortisone cream will relieve the itch and swelling both without the drowsiness. There's also some sort of stick you can get (Itch-Away, maybe?)--it's active ingredient is camphor I think. I used that some with my kids when they were little and it took the swelling right out.

My kids and I always react like you do. It is no fun. Oatmeal soap, if you can get it, will relieve the itch a bit too.

yeah, I knew that. Lots of people are surprised that they go to the trouble of lifeguards. Until you hit that hole and go down... And down some more... And come up wondering if your brain remembers how to breathe. ;-)

And that is why I will replace that box again and again. It is a great place to visit, but you got an extra special experience. Was the other missing box sailor's or toasters'? Hard place to plant, but so worth it.

Try to clean it up and stamp it. But log it either way. You'll always have a story to tell about your first find.
