Ahhhhhh, my dear RDHG.....
you HAVE been gone a while.
TLF has become an ICON ....already ... and he's a newbie. He and his family have taken this Letterboxing hobby and its people by storm. The rest of the family seems quite normal .... wife, sweet lady... kids... fun little boys.....
But that MR......
He is carving awesome stamps, making excellent letterboxes, taking part in our "not even close to PC" conversations.... holding his own in any debate with our craziest people......
and he has even left a couple of us speechless.

So yes, we're all SHOOK UP ..... by The Lane Family......
but we needed a little shaking up ... keeps us on our toes !!!

It was a familiar memory to see the bottom right hand picture in the new theme. We letterboxed near this monument in July. It's amazing to see this structure in person. There is a great Wikipedia article on the history of this monument. Look for Washington Monument State Park.

As for our letterboxing score: 1 found, 1 not found. But it was a real rocky road to discover that Washington never slept here!

Agreed! Saw the pic and immediately thought -- "Hey, I know what that is -- the first Washington Monument!" For anyone driving into DC from PA or MD, be sure to stop in. Beautiful views and one of the quietest tourist monuments you'll visit in the area.

They did date, CSK, but she wound up going back to her ex.

When I visited my sister in Middletown this summer, we went there to locate two letterboxes. One we found and the other we couldn't. It is beautiful there, but too humid for me.

we had a traveling event box at the event last weekend that was MONTY PYTHON. there were 5 or 6 stamps.
Garrett of The Lane Family and Charlie and I all took part in stamping that in our logbook. It was a team effort. Some of the stamps were big. All were FANTASTIC.
