That is awesome Fiddleheads! I think when my mother stops going to her shows I will probably take them over! I love musicals and love to go! I have heard that Book of Mormon is a good show! I think it was here in St. Louis recently...

"The King and I, State Fair, Carousel, The Sound Of Music, Oklahoma and South Pacific" - these have all been to St. Louis and I haven't seen them. :( I was for awhile only going to shows I have seen before but now I am opening up my horizon and seeing shows I have never seen before...

I'm a novice carver myself! My plan for the series is to do sort of the "icon" that best represents the show: dice for Guys and Dolls, the rose for Beauty and the Best, etc.
But I have a long list of stuff I *want* to carve, so who knows if I'll get around to it. I'll try to remember to post about it, if I do!
Amy, who carved a s'more yesterday... :)

I had to check where you lived, because I bought a season subscription that included Book of Mormon. It was the only way to guarantee a seat. But my subscription is for SHN, in San Francisco. I get to see it at the end of this year. So excited.

Hi K9s4LF,
I love musicals. You and like a lot of the same ones. Les Miz is my favorite. I have a lot that take up the number 2 spot...Wicked, Rent, Avenue Q, [title of show], Memphis, Jersey Boys, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Miss Saigon, Allegiance the Musical, and of course, Book of Mormon. I haven't seen Newsies yet, but I know an actor in Newsies that I saw in Spring Awakening, so it's high on the list as well. I just started Letterboxing with Ladybug Love. She got me into it. I love this thread tho. Always good to talk musicals with other theater geeks.

Do you have a smartphone? If so I use the Pimp Your Sound app and make my own. No data plan means you are out of luck because the website will send it to you via an internet link through a text.

This guy... just wow.
Here is "One Man Les Miserables" sung by Nick Pitera. I'm not sure how I'm only discovering him now, but I'm so glad I did. He has plenty of broadway and Disney covers on his YouTube channel, but this one takes the cake. Other ones I was thoroughly impressed by were Phantom, Wicked, and Into the Woods, but they're some of my favorite shows...
<mind=blown>
Enjoy!

Whale different guy, but that was hysterical! Now I'm going to get lost in his videos too ;)
Btw pH, Nick Pitera lives in Emeryville lol. I noticed Lake Merrit in the background of some of his videos, so I had to look for his fb page to confirm. I swear I'm not going to go stalk him though. Probably.

I'm aware it's a different guy, but the whole "I'm an entire choir all by myself" concept is there........and I find him vastly entertaining.....for different reasons than Pitera.
