Great goal and nice story- supporting special needs children when they reach 18.

The light for purifying the water surprised me the most. He heats his water up in 90 sec - Geesh! And I see he has walking poles. Do you use these things Green One?

Thanks for sharing!

and the boinging and bouncing wasn't NEARLY as bad as threatened.

Not at all--very mild--but it WAS in a very crowded room--which may have saved me!

One of my favorite authors is 86 today--gulp! Does anyone else love her books (especially the Pern books) as much as I do?

I loved them all up until the end. I really didn't like what she ended up doing with Pern. I read them all when I was a teen and one might even say I got a little carried away with it. ;) I had the guidebook to Pern and played this online game that was based on Pern for 4 years. I probably would have played longer if I didn't move somewhere that had no internet. Yeah, I'm a nerd. Lol.

Either the trip being processed now is a doozy, or the trip planner isn't processing. There have been 5 trips ahead of me w/a 14-minute wait time for over an hour...

I started one yesterday with four trips in front of me and an 11 minute wait time. It's still the same today. Most likely it's the swap to the new server. Hopefully everything will be up in a couple of days.

ok, first off, we KNEW you'd put anything in your mouth, hence the Igor picture. Why, for the love of God you thought Marvy markers were great for teeth decorating is beyond me . . .

secondly, eeww. just. . . eww. i wake up this morning with the beginnings of another stupid weather migraine and i get greeted with not one but TWO snakey critters and some dumb guy in Japan WATCHING them in Japan EAT each other. AND AND AND he's not only FILMING the whole thing, HE'S TOUCHING THEM!!

ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew

And sushi is bad??

yeh, you need to go to bed earlier, Bubs. really.

Not all sushi is raw & is more of a style.
There's some very good veggie sushi too.
And most of it isn't slimy. Although there are some things I haven't tried yet. Quail egg shooters. *BLURP* :-P gag

Pretty hike at Indian Camp Creek Park

I post this every year, but THIS is the week when the trail with ICCP Cryptology Series #1 is really pretty. Indian Camp Creek Park is in northwest St. Charles County (near my house). I just ran that trail today and it's really neat - bottomland with super green grasses and trees that haven't fully leafed out yet, with purple patches of Sweet William and blue patches of Blue-eyed Mary (which I have never seen elsewhere). Early this morning, I started up three deer and a bald eagle!

I don't think that's starting until tomorrow - unless Ryan is making another April Fool's joke.

I think the eel sushi I had was cooked. There are lots of "cooked" sushi dishes that you can try.

I've tried rattlesnake. It was chewy.
Interestingly enough, that was also the day my hubby and I tried Rocky Mountain Oysters.

but the predatory ones with teeth are ok?????

I didn't say they were ok; it's just that the ones with teeth are less threatening to me. If they "only" have teeth, I can yank them off, toss them in your direction and see if they stick. Sort of like pin the tail on the donkey, only I'll be able to see where you are and then be able to see how fast you can run! ;]

i've got a better idea!!

Contact your local tigger and i'll teach you how to do the research for free, and i won't take a great grassroots hobby and make it into a big business!!

All our guides are bouncy, flouncy, pouncy, trouncy, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun!!

i was going to write more in response, but i try not to be really rude on these boards!
