My failed visit
Board: State: California

To my friends in beautiful Northern California, I must say I was planning to visit you this day, but that can not occur. A higher authority has insisted my presents is required elsewhen immediately. Princess Leah, will you be joining us.

So, to the effervescent Denise on the Water, the compassionate Wendy in the Bay Area, the masterful Grumpy and the confident Grinch both of Saint Joseph; to the lovely Lisa and her talented Robb, and to the cosmic Doublesaj and her True Blue, I bid you all good health, good fortune and a clear mind.

Lastly to my dear friend Kitty in the Villa of Sue, I am so sorry I have never met you face to face.

Your Most Humble Servant,

OBJuan

That was my first semi solo event - a 14 hour one no-less.
I think I got only half the boxes you planted because I was so diverted by the beauty of the surroundings or the distractions of the haunted. Not only were the stamps I did get amazing, but the people I met along the way were captivating. I will write an entire short story on my adventure as soon as I can. Your event proves, hands down, take a tiny little town with no boxers (let alone BOXES) plant them and they will come. I had an amazing time... Thank you so much. The historical aspect to this series, in this TINY little town is unmatched in the 4 years I've been at it :claps:

WELL DONE GALS!

Eyes open, minds perchance too?

Keep spying for that which may be askew.

Can you say... some people go to GREAT lengths to invite someone to an intimate gathering of a Ship of Fools ; )

Pack your backs and pack those waders... looks like we're heading into rough waters! And crossing borders to do it!

Did someone advise New Hampshire?

It was a great day indeed at Spring Grove, such fine company in such beautiful surroundings.
Jeeves and Dude, you are welcome :)
GypsyLadybug and Cookie Cutter were great companions per usual and very patient slack-boxing guides for Jabber (record find day - woo-hoo!) and myself, stopping at ones they had both found before.

At Callaway, not near the raptor show

True. I forgot about that.

We went to the raptor show in January and left Scooter and Chipper in the RV. One of the birds (can't remember which one, maybe the vulture) actually walks up and down the aisle at one point and having a dog there would not be a good idea. Mine are little white Bichons. Neither the birds nor the dogs would be happy being so close to each other.

At SMP not on the actual mountain or in the Songbird area.

I remember one time when we were at SMP Scooters Dad went to the top to get a box while Scooter and I looked for one near the carving. A long time ago dogs used to be allowed on the walk up trail.

Also, they can't go in any buildings at either place.

Alas dear slpa... some of us have to work on Sunday mornings and cannot stay up until the wee small hours of the morning.

But even as I attempted to sleep - those dasterdly fools kept laughing at me in my dreams.

So - as I sit here at work - waiting to open the envelope - I'll have to wait a bit longer. Seems folks need monograms before fools get to relish contents of a mysteriously laughing package ; )

Seems my 12 foolish friends from over the border (well 11 of them - with one Maine descenter in their midst) have gone to a very elaborate time to invite Team MudCup to Ship of Fools by enticing us with passports, maps and mystery...

Now mind you - Tea doesn't do water - so hopping aboard the SS Ship of Fools could be treacherous at best...

And looking at the weekend that it falls on - there's a Friday the 13th in the mix. I sense trouble right out of the gate.

Just goes to show you - 'keep your friends close, and your foolish friends closer' ; )

Oh, I know, but I was teasing Mouse Nanny and they aren't at Fred Bond park anyhow. Besides, I have to do a bit of research to have more than a "go here, then here" clue.

Airstream, I know it is a long drive for you, but if I am lucky, the boxes will be there for a long time. I know you'll be down that way again.
