Not sure if I can take another round of the two of them

I know. ugh. They're ok separately sometimes but together they're a nightmare.

Maybe they'll be the first ones gone... I kinda doubt it though because they are fierce competitors.

I bring a small backpack which contains: my logbook and sig stamps, a ziplock of mini ink pads in various colors, paper towels and a small spray bottle of water for cleaning stamps, a mini clipboard (to use as a nice, flat stamping surface), a compass, a small sheet of plastic to sit on if the ground is wet, a glove for reaching into dark places, trail snacks, and a bottle or two of gatorade.

Looks like its going to be another fine season! Shangela makes me laugh so much.

Totally agree - I thought they were going to give Shangela a third shot at it!

I haven't picked out my favorite yet, but it's a great group. Overall it seems like they might be a little more polished than previous seasons, but it's too early to tell. They do have a lot of charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent!

And Chill E - AMEN!

I guess I should peruse the Etsy Handbook before posting a question. I will answer my own question here:

There is a way to charge tax on each item per state that has purchased it.
Under 'Shop Settings' click on 'Shipping and Payments'. At the top of the page are tabs. One says 'Sales Tax'. It allows you to enter each state and add the tax percentage rate so that when someone makes a purchase, the tax will be automatically calculated in the total at Checkout.

After filing my January taxes for my small business and having to shell out about $80, I am now charging my customers tax on my items. It is either that or I jack up the price to include the tax in the cost of each item.

academy has a great mail letter carrier bag that was 20 dollars by magellen. it has enough pockets and space to hole all that you need and can be thrown accross your shoulder and chest to facilitate heavier cago if needed like water and lunch. it went on sail to 13 dollars about three weeks ago. you can also get it on line. very durable and had a leather bottom so it can be set on the ground. I carry a plastice folder with all of the boxes clues that might be useful for the day. (in case of rain)

WHAT THE HECK WERE THE JUDGES THINKING WITH THAT GRAPEFRUIT MONSTROSITY?????

It looked like a nightgown or robe. I kept thinking that a younger version of Mrs. Roper might like it.

Thoughts?

what is considered the "embossing" stage?

I'd say adding the powder and heating is the embossing stage. Usually, you would stamp, powder and heat, pretty much at the same time. But you might want to only emboss a small area, so you might make sure the ink was completely dry, then go back and ink the one area, which would make stamping and embossing two distinctly different stages.

For those readers of the Stephanie Plum numbers, the movie One for the Money is very light hearted, a tad off the book but I think more enjoyable for those that are readers of the series vs. individuals who view the movie without knowing the characters/previous or upcoming plots for the group. If you enjoy the books IMHO you will enjoy the movie.

Also readers of the Hunger Games trilogy, mid month book one will be in the theatres. The book series listed it as a teen group, I found the books enjoyable and truly page turners. Currently I'm reading this again and I'm looking forward to this one as well.

If you wanted to get all your embossing done in "one fell swoop" then powdering them all, then heating them would get that done. Ultimately though, go with what works best for you. I tend to assemble my cards in batches of about 5-10 cards at a time, no matter what technique I use.

greenmountainhiker taught me this trick: gallon size ziploc bags are exactly the right size for printed out 8 1/2x11 clue sheets - and then you have that size bag if you need it for a box/logbook/etc. keeps the rain off AND you have repair gear. what could be cooler than that?!?

Ryan, how about a tutorial-like addition to some dropdown menu for questions that come up often?
"What's in your backpack?" might be a good item.
No, not things like kitchen sinks, just reasonable items like compass, ink, first aid kit.

Ryan and I enjoyed a date night out to see One for the Money and we both agreed that we liked the movie because we were familiar with the books and fans of the books. Would be interested to hear what folks think who are not fans of the books. Also while in line, and waiting in the theater, it was interesting to hear the folks around us debate the casting choices!! We think that if it does well, there will be more movies in the future.

Hunger Games: I am a fan and cannot wait for the movie(s) to come out. Also very excited that they are filmed in North Carolina.

Hunger Games was awesome! My daughter(10) started reading the series and got grounded from her kindle so I started reading them.. She was ungrounded mid book one so we faught over reading them. Saw a friend reading book 3 and mentioned to her how I enjoyed that series and she was mad I hadn't sugested them to her sooner! lol to funny. I hope the movie turns out good... My daughter will of course hate the movie and write a long report in English class on why books are better than movies anyday and what was wrong in the movie(She started doing this in 2nd grade)...

Anyway... Read it!
