Remember the little girl is the only one to have any color in the whole movie. That movie is so moving and yes, everyone should watch it. You will never forget it.

That's so sad... I wonder if they ever caught the ba-- the guy who did it. There must be a way to follow up on the story in the papers. I know Ancestry has (or had) a sizable newspaper archive; maybe the Salt Lake Tribune (or a more local Iowa or Illinois paper) is among them? I can't check since I let my subscription lapse..

YOUNG VIRGIN OF PUREST HEART
DIED A VIOLENT DEATH DEC 23, 1932

I don't know what bothered me more, the inscription or the fact that there were no little pebbles commemorating moments of remembrance from loved ones paying a visit.

When I got home I went to my friend Google and found Rose's story. Tragic.

but if you've signed up (whether accidently or not) to receive updates from TV guide that is exactly what the bulletin would look like. You can scroll down to the bottom of the email and click the unsubscribe link.

I signed up to receive their daily email, and I want to continue to receive the daily email. Unfortunately, there is no way to stop the "breaking news" emails without unsubscribing from the daily email. I just don't know why this particular item constituted "breaking news". No one died and no one's life was in danger.

so instead let me extinguish that flaming burrito you left on the stove."

Amanda usually sets appliances on fire, like blenders and dryers. She'll burn food sometimes as well, but never anything that generates flames. Just leaves food black and charcoalish and sets off fire alarms, but at least none of the food-related mishaps have required a fire extinguisher. Just appliances. =)

For those of you that may have missed it. The House of Horrors was made up of the scariest things letterboxers could think of. I just put together a story about it AFTER I got the stamps. The only directions the contributors had was to send me something they thought was scary from a letterboxing standpoint.

These were the horrors that awaited the brave soul that entered:

While reading Lean Mean Thirteen, I decided to check to see if they released any trailers yet for the One for the Money movie. There is a trailer. Plus they have an official poster for the movie. It looks really good. The current release date is January 27th.

Not too sure about the actor they have for Morelli... but guess we'll see how it goes when it comes out. Can't wait till then!

These were simple but fun. Check out these clues and the photo links:
http://www.atlasquest.com/boxes/clue/?gBoxId=183927
I had them inside a cabin and you looked for the object in the story.

I also had some outside in HIGH traffic greenways. They were simple temporary ones but they were left outside for 3 days and were just fine. Funny what people won't notice.
These were completely in the open at a cemetery:

They are just a brick of foam. I dug a hole in the bottom and put the letterbox inside.

And in this one the stamp is just in the scarecrow's front pocket.

Yeah, he's not quite how I imagined Morelli. It would be nice if they could tackle a few of the other books, but it's unlikely.

Yeah, I have no idea why the Kardashians are even famous in the first place.

Another thought: it's pretty annoying that this news will get so much attention, and Kim had a HUGE wedding and made millions for doing nothing and still not everyone who wants to get married in this country can.

It really makes me wonder the timing of this imformation. I mean a day before Halloween? Luckily I don't think anyone gives that stuff out anymore on Halloween. Another thing, the FDA just found about about this now? This candy has been around for decades upon decades. Too bad for licorice lovers :-( Let's get some Twizzlers instead!

Well, in trying to trim down around my home, I found this Halloween Plush Lion and thought I would give it to the kid who wore the best costume.

So, sure enough, a little guy in a dinosaur costume happened by and I said to his father, I have something for the best costume tonight. The kid took the doll, without hestiation, like he had been expecting it. LOL!

But I have to say, I actually liked that idea. Maybe next I will I will do something a little more expanded.

I saw the trailer in the theater last week and thought the actors they chose for the roles worked pretty well, especially Lula! I wasn't too keen on Katherine Heigl playing the lead but I think I can get past that. I only wish they gave her a strong New Jersey accent (as I imagine her talking when I read the books).
