I see PINK has already spoken up - so I would love to get in line next. Don't know if I actually contacted you thru this board or another one, or just did the Professor Harold Hill "Think" method and thought you'd get it that way :)

I'm involved in a couple of things in November where these would be PERFECT if that timing works - thanks!

I'll be in TN for the 4th visiting my mom, & want to plant a timed box. For lack of knowing where to place it in advance, I think it will be in the Hales Chapel area OR at another church off Boones Creek Road. Just thought you might want a heads up since it will only be there from about Fri. aft. until Mon. morning.

Yes, our girls will be carving, and the double-sided ice cream cone sounds spot on for our purposes.

My poor kitty went to the vet today and was put on antidepressants. She is a special needs drug baby kitty who has problems coping. Those problems are about to get worse when we uproot her to move to CO. The problem I am facing now is that she is so freaked out she will not come out from under the bed to get her meds.

Wow-- lots of folks heading to Asheville this time of year.
Dixie has a nice boxing map of Asheville on her blog.

And for the route down the BRP I'd recommend contacting wee3 or Shoafsters.

Maybe try opening a pull top can? My kitty will attack when I pull out a ziplock bag since I bought her some treats that didn't reseal. So now every time I pull out a ziplock for letterboxing purposes she comes running. Not really trying to be funny. She also loves cold cuts. And not sure how you're getting to CO, but I used drugs for kitty when we moved. I flew though.

That's too cute! I can't really think of anything that gets Boba to come running, except me calling her which is not working at the moment. What type of drugs did you give your kitty? This cat is actually well traveled (in a car). She's been from to AK to NM, back to AK, back to NM, and finally to GA. Those times I gave her a sedative that also works for car sickness. This time I asked for something to help her during the move and when we get there. So the vet recommended using antidepressants for stress and benadryl for car sickness. She's 12 years old so I am worried the stress will be too much for her.

We have a friend who is losing her sight to macular degeneration. She had a Kindle, but the black on gray wasn't enough contrast for her failing vision. She now has an iPad. With the iPad, she can get a crisp black on white and read. She sold her Kindle. Just FYI.

Have a look at my letterbox:
http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=af4f2424-fb34-402f-a550-e0bbc5d5b7fe

  • It uses directions.
  • But I've also added an additional waypoint for those who prefer using coordinates to get to the box - note, you can't see the additional waypoint unless you are logged into the site
  • Note that I tell people that it's an off-set, in bold red letters. Why, because some people assume that the coordinates take them right to the box when in fact the posted coordinates take them to a parking lot. Some finders get irritated when they waste their time looking at the posted coordinates, not realizing that they must follow directions.
  • If you don't want to use an additional waypoint you don't have to but you do have to include the coordinates to the box location so the Reviewer can check that it is no closer then .1 miles (528 feet) from another geocache. The final coordinates will not be posted publicly if you don't want them posted.
  • You must use a dedicated gps unit to get your coordinates, especially if you post the coordinates to the box rather then a starting point. You can't use Google Maps or Google Earth - poor coordinates are frowned upon.

I flew down from AK to CA and then from CA to FL with him. I don't know what the drug was called, it was a prescription I had gotten from his vet. Maybe with medication she might not know enough to get too upset. But I do remember he was pretty out of it.

A postal is a highly addictive type of letterbox that comes to you instead of you going to it.

I'm in Northern CA and have thus far struck out at two different Michael's in San Jose. I'd love to know if anyone finds it anywhere in that area.

Michael's in Colma (4925 Junipero Serra Blvd) is now carrying it. I had put in a request many months ago for them to carry "the pink stuff". So, if your local Michael's doesn't have it now, try asking them to stock it.

I've been waiting for that. What about your own reply???

It's all in what you do with it. Smaller might move along faster...

Hobby Lobby takes cell phone dl coupons. There's a number on it. Michael's in Chattanooga has an entire section dedicated to the stuff. They even used to carry a "Letterboxing Kit". UGH. What happened to stealth and discretion? What happened to Orange stuff. I have used the hard grey lino. It holds a thin line but is harder on your nibs and the stamp needs a backing.

What is a postal?

It's the feeling you get when a great stamp and logbook gets sucked into a black hole by someone who complains about black holes when they are the black hole.

PM found her Anarchist Cookbook. What i wanna know is why they have all of the illicit drug chapters before the bomb making chapters? Or maybe that's the plan, get em high then they'll just blow themselves up and the govt. wont have to kill em all.
