My sons and husband are such neanderthals that, if I try to make non-mix mac and cheese, they say it looks weird and they won't eat it.

One word can fix that problem:

Chili.

If they don't like chili, you're SOL. Trade 'em in for someone who can appreciate homemade mac'n'cheese without all that CRAP!!

sheesh. I'm glad, I went to go find out and got lost. I read all the posts to my page and took a quiz for Nampa Idaho. It's easy to lose an hour or two on Facebook, lol.

By the way, Baqash, what's your FB name, I need to add you as a friend, I don't think we're friends yet.

Haha. You beat me to it Nitrocat.

We used to bake them with Van D Camp's Pork and Beans and add ketchup, mustard and brown sugar. No measuring, dot, squiggle, make a face with the first two, add the sugar and stir. Taste, dot some more, taste. Repeat until correct. lay bacon on top and cook on low till bacon is crisp and yummy. fight over bacon and enjoy.

Now, it's Bush's brown sugar recipe in the microwave. It's kind of sad that it tastes the same. But, oh so much easier.

DaResq recently posted a tracker... "Celebrating County Faires".
But every time I see it, I think it says "Celebrating Country Fairies" and I get images of fairies drawn in country bumkin' style with corn cob pipes and tattered overalls.
Just had to share.

Again...Demanding Attention.

Pre: So, About Evergreen, CO as a "city/aka Location" listing? when PREssing Colorado buttons...????....

Specifically: Letterboxes drop down menu, city= Evergreen...whoops M.I.A....

Does CO still "rate" as having very few cities/aka "due a few"

Yeah so, whatya think? There ARE quite a few boxes up that a ways these days...and no town/city listing on AQ..SURE would be nice!

It just seems to process differently, load differently. Not look different. I was just curious if you had to do anything.

No, can't say that I would have had anything to do with that.

I don't really see how you can be angry at the teacher. She didn't write the book, and she did all she could to censor it. Third grade is approriate time for this book, as well. If your son is asking questions, chances are he has already done some figuring out for himself.

I feel sad for you because this is the end of that sweet innocence, but be thankful you had until the third grade! Kids are more "sophisticated" today, and most of my son's friends began talking about Santa's existence among themselves in second grade. boo.

Yay! Just finished setting up my vast, new expanse of crafting space. I finally claimed a wall in our spare bedroom and used a 2'x8' melamine plank to create the desk. I also have a few shelves attached to the wall up above and a bookcase and a filing cabinet tucked underneath!!

It's gonna be so nice to not have to leave things out on the dining room table when I'm in the midst of a creative phase. :o)

Good for you! You will definitely get a lot of use out of the room and get more accomplished if you don't have to keep stopping what you are doing and picking everything up. I have a small craft room, in our attic (my husband gave up part of the "man cave" and built me my own little cubby) and I love it. Sometimes I come up here just to hide.

You mean in the city directory? That list doesn't really have anything to do with how many letterboxes are actually in an area. I just copied it off a website that listed all of the cities and towns in each state with a population of more than 20,000. It's just to help get people started. I can't include a complete list of supported towns (there are over half a million of them AQ supports, and thousands in just Colorado, which would make for a rather lengthy and boring list), so I just picked the biggest ones based on population.

Admittedly, for states with very small populations (e.g. Alaska), I may have stuffed in a few with less than 20,000, but those maps are geared towards population centers--not letterboxing populations.

I should be at 1306 but my ribbon count today says I am at 1297 finds. What is up with that?

You had double counted nine finds on unlisted boxes that are no longer being double counted. 1306 - 9 = 1297. The 1306 was actually incorrect, not the 1297. Sorry. It's actually working correctly now!

K...and I'm asking that it be added to the City Directory...for ease of navigation on AQ....as there are recently a Lot (by CO standards, anyway) boxes up that way.

Thankies.
