I even crack myself up, I'm so funny. Hahahaha.

I don't think Texas would last thru both of us being on drugs, do you?? hahaha..

Oh, I no good any more with the lil ones... Hence, I'm good at being "Nanni".. Fill 'em full of chocolate, give them tons of hugs & kisses and send them home... haha.. Your 8 yr old might want references from my adult sons and I don't think, from their point of view, I was a good Mom... hehe.. They're constantly reminding me of them being whipped with a fly swatter, that handle end at that!! LOL

Of course, they've grown up to be two responsible young men, thanks to me, I might add!! And I remind them of it every chance I get... Oh and it's soooo much fun watching them having to deal with what I did back then... hehe... and knowing what else is on the Horizon for them... The dreaded "Teen Years"!! Awwwww, payback is sooooo sweet!!

Hugs!!
Nanni
ps: Mom ended up just shaving her head.. My sister bought her tons of scarves, hats and even a wig... Mom preferred alla natural :-)
Hang in there kiddo!!

No need for references, this did it. You're fired already. My mom used to think I was crazy when I would tell her not to give her sugar. She gave her cookies early in a visit once and realized it's true.

Don't water the gremlins. That's Cassie with sugar.

ps: Mom ended up just shaving her head..

I had to do that. Otherwise I'd look like the doll on Toy Story. Scary stuff.

Where is everybody? Come on, get up, I wanna play. Shiloh has the coffee ready. I'm about to squeeze some fresh orange juice. Let's go.

Hope you all have bright sunshiney days. It may be raining outside, but the sun is always shining at the NC board.

I figured that would do it!! hahaha... That's what "Great Nanni's" do.. hehe.. Spoil 'em & give 'em everything they aren't allowed to have at home.... LOL

G'nite my friend... It's so good to have you back... I have missed you!

Take care and hibernate!! LOL

This subject caught my eye while I was thinking about restricted letterboxes. Maybe somebody else said this, but if a boss who knew about their employee's hobby (or sport) and really wanted to get them fired or written up, there are ways around that. The employer could take note of the days the employee claimed ill, compare that to boxes found within 50 miles on those dates or just get a list of boxes within 50 miles, print clues, find the boxes, and then use a digital camera to photograph the evidence.

Yeah, it's far fetched but if the employer was persistent enough...

So maybe nobody should inform their bosses about their hobby, unless they have evidence of their boss golfing, when they are supposed to be at an important meeting.... but maybe that's not a good idea either.

No matter how long you live here, you can be certain that you will leave with "y'all" firmly embedded in your vocabulary. And everywhere you go, it will be a dead giveaway that you once made your home in the South.

This statement is so true for me. :) I been in Yankee territory for three years and I still say y'all. I'm most likely to notice myself using it when I'm shopping. "Excuse me. Do y'all have......?"

Given this group - you probably just want to keep your beer under lock & key!! :-)

And given that taster of 420 Sweetwater that I had the privilege to partake of....that is a WISE decision! Now it is all making sense.....

Tent - No lock and key (depending on the integrity of other boxers)
Cabin - Lock and Key (taking opportunity out of the equation)

Bottom line......
Beer is safe and sound

I think that every person under 30 that wants to buy a "crotch rocket" (aka motorcycle that a lot of young people ride) should have to spend a day or two watching real videos of motorcycle accidents.

Who's with me on this one?

So, for those of you that received my delete notices (mostly Sojourner and she was expecting it), it's a good thing, not a bad.

This is the only time I can honestly say that I'm happy you dropped from mine!!!! LOL!!! As you said, it's a weight lifted from your shoulders and I wouldn't want to be responsible for any more stress in your life right now!

Y'all know I love this group, right? Y'all kept me going while I was in the hospital and the nurses and doctors said, "You are a well loved woman, you have so many friends." I would say things like, "Yep, I am very lucky. And I hope to meet them someday. They are the greatest people on earth."

...and you know you're right there in the midst, missy!!!! :-)

Hi. I just found this group and board. We have two cats. Silly we got from the pound after the death of our beloved JC from cancer. We've had her about three years I think. She is black and white, and her full name is Sillhouette Whiskers Tomato. But Silly fits her better. She is a clumsy cat, who will jump on a window sill and fall right back out. Our other one adopted us about 6 months after we got Silly. She is a tabby named Squeaky. She doesn't have much of a meow, she squeaks instead. Her full name is Squeak Whiskers Molasses. Squeaky loved on us and was so friendly when she showed up on our porch and wanted in. After we let her in the house, no more of that. She is pretty standoffish most of the time. But she is a benevolent queen of the house. The two cats do not like each other, but they have their own territories within the house, and they tolerate each other.

Finally back home and can post about the day at Smurf Village last Saturday.
We could not have ASKED for better weather to visit the SMURFS......... Bright, sunny and mild.

FA LA LA LA LA LA....................LA LA LA LA LAAAAAAAAAAAA

Mama Wolf said we couldn't sing as we were letterboxing in Smurf Village. There was even some mention of where she'd put her hiking stick. How RUDE !
(TeeHee)

We started out early ..... and aside from having some clues for boxes that had been retired between my printing them.... and us going in search of them....(OOPS, MY BAD). it was a successful day. None of us ended up with poison ivy... which was nothing short of a miracle. The whole village was COVERED with it. We needed 12 more SMURFS to complete our set and we got 8. 3 had been retired and the 4th we believe is missing in action. Mama Wolf got enough SMURFS to turn a few of her logbook pages BLUE ! T and her girls surprised us on the trail. They were on their way to shop for new shoes..... but took time to stop and harass ..... er..... I mean.... time to stop and chat with us a bit. They added even MORE laughter to our day !
Then we moved on.....we had lunch and did some boxing in and around Cleveland Park and even chased some rodents down the Main street in town ! Our last stop was McPherson Park for the ONE lonely letterbox there. (Chihuahua Grande's box there dissapeared!)

We headed for home ..... making a quick stop at McDonalds for a meal on our way out of town.

Pictures of our day at Smurf Village are here: (Thankfully "I" was the one with the camera.)

http://www.atlasquest.com/gallery/viewalbum.html?gAlbumId=1688

This one was not suitable to mix with the Smurfy pics...... it's somewhat of a bonus...... (in a disturbing seek therapy kind of way)

http://www.atlasquest.com/gallery/viewphoto.html?gPhotoId=69242

A fun day !

It works the same way as the MC4 LTC cards.

If you get a musical postal, you stamp in to the logbook, stamp the stamp in your logbook and find another person who wants is ASAP and mail it right back out. You need to record it on AQ as well. At the end of the contest, the person with the most logged finds on AQ wins a prize.

If you get a MC4 card, there is not stamping; but, it works the same way. The key is to keep them moving. The best scenario is if you can mail them back out the very same day.
