Have you nothing better to do?
Seriously?!!
You have quoted everyone in America who don't know THEIR y'alls from a hole in the ground.

Ya is not a word. You is a word. Y'all is a contraction of You and all.

I my dear am from the South.... Southern Appalachian mountains of NC....
my entire family is and has been from the South back since the Scot-Irish settled here.
We do not use Ya. We use YOU and Y'ALL.
Ya sounds to me like something someone from way up North would say when trying to be southern.

Don't you sign up for a different tracker game with the musicals? I'd wave the wand and say, "Stretch and put out two plbs!! One for the musicalness and one for the May challenge!"

I love it. And, don't forget, wash them for at least 10 seconds. Can y'all believe that my daughters would count to make sure everyone was washing them long enough while I was in the hospital?

I need everyone's help with this. Well, a couple people may be exempt, but only if you have a good enough excuse, lol.

No one let me be the winner of an MC4 card. I just saw someone post that they have one ready to go out. Where have I been? I didn't even know there was a fourth series out there.

I don't know what the future holds for me. I'm only thinking good things though. On Monday, my doctor may send me to Siberia where I'll surely be safe from the Swine Flu. He may send me to the hospital for the bone marrow. I would hate for a MC card to get stuck at my house or in the hospital. I'm still looking for a possible postal in all my bags that came from the hospital (there were only 4 shopping bags of stuff, and clothes and toiletries. . . ).

Also, I deleted myself from some trackers. It's a good thing. Partly, because this opens up a spot for someone else, partly because when I got home and would get a notification about the swap being a week away, the guilt, oh it was awful. No more guilt. I got enough to worry about, right?

I did stay in three swaps. They are far enough in the future and I actually have a free weekend coming up. It's on baby. I'm going shopping for supplies.

So, for those of you that received my delete notices (mostly Sojourner and she was expecting it), it's a good thing, not a bad.

Y'all know I love this group, right? Y'all kept me going while I was in the hospital and the nurses and doctors said, "You are a well loved woman, you have so many friends." I would say things like, "Yep, I am very lucky. And I hope to meet them someday. They are the greatest people on earth."

I wasn't lying, it's the truth.

Love you all, Janet

they need to do some fact checking before posting things that might cause panic.

A lot of people (most of them in the medical field) think that is exactly what is happening. The media is making this out to be more than it is. It's the flu. 300 and something people die from the flu every year. Most of them elderly or with weak immune systems (hence my paranoia). This flu is no different.

I feel sorry for all the people that have to stay home from work because their children aren't allowed to go to school. 8000 children aren't allowed to go to school in Fort Worth. What do you think they will do all week? Oh yeah, they'll go to the movies, the mall, the Walmart. Crap, they are the ones that MAY have been exposed. Guess I'll be staying home this week. I hope I have enough milk, bread and chocolate to hold me till they all go back to school. Or, I'll be the one in the gloves, mask and holding a can of Hospiseptic spray. Don't get near me, you may get sprayed.

Ok, I got a question. Can I use a trash can, say a 30 gallon one to compost in?

I've read a lot about composting and I've talked to a master gardener. I under stand that I can put worms in it and not have to tumble it.

I guess the one thing I don't quite understand is the layering part. I know I need so much green stuff like lawn clippings and some dead tuff like fallen leaves but is there a certain amount I have to put in and when?

Sure wishing for a speedy recovery...no fun having it drag out forever

Thanks KK!! It's a slow process with many different phases... The actual diagnosis is the easiest part, not being able to get a breath...

Now is the worse part!! When things start loosening up and trying to get "it" up and can't.. getting choked, yadda, yadda, yadda... No fun at all.. LOL

Thanks for the well wishes my friend :-)

Oh heavens, no. Pin-up is more like a warning that you may run into a little flesh when you get your cards. Some people out there are scared of boobs and such. The pin-up classification is there to protect their delicate sensibilities. Sometimes there are Adult swaps that are specifically for... erotic art. But Pin-ups... just a warning. No need to carve nekkid stuff, but don't be surprised if you get your package at the end of the swap with a few nudes.

Oh Dixie, dear, you are fighting against a brick wall. Suzi believes herself to be the authority on every part of the US. She has a friend here and there who said this and that and that makes her know everything. Not to include the fact that she uses sources that are ridiculous (ADN for example). I just learned tis better to ignore her, unfortunately that makes her feel even more right (even when she's wrong, OH so very wrong)

Nanni on steriods!!

That is a scary thought. The visual is kind of funny though. I wasn't allowed to email any coworkers while on them. My boss forbade me. I did send one to the Executive Director and she was scared. They still bring that up. *shaking lowered head in shame*

Remember when we thought my not being able to breathe was from asthma? Now it makes sense why I still had no energy when on the steroids. Thanks for that enlightenment. All that wasted money and drugs, for shame.

I would love to hear what are some of the AQ folks' favorite poems on this day of rhyme.

Well, I'm a little late, but in my little world it is still Thursday, April 30 until I wake up tomorrow. So, here goes:

Hello again
How've you been?
I guess you know it's me.
What have you been up to?
I've been being me.

How's your parents and your friends?
Your little sister too?
There's no sense beatin' round
I've got to tell you true.

Whatever this life brings you
Whatever it brings to me
My love for you and only you
Will last for eternity.
by, anonymous

This is from my 8th grade school newspaper. So it was probably written by a young person 7th thru 9th grade. I've remembered it by heart for all these years (we won't go into how many that actually is, lol).

Amanda, thanks for bringing the memory back.

I have lost my hair, only on my head and half of my legs (I was robbed on that one), but I hope to never lose my sense of humor. I do believe that with y'alls support and my sense of humor, it kept me sane and got me out of there in as a good a shape as I am in.

So, Pawpaw is laid off, you are probably off work. I think y'all need to come to Texas and stay with me while I am going through the whole next process. You only need to watch one 8 year old going on 20. I'll blow up the mattress and you let me know when you will be here, kay? I even crack myself up, I'm so funny. Hahahaha.

I don't think Texas would last thru both of us being on drugs, do you?? hahaha..

Oh, I no good any more with the lil ones... Hence, I'm good at being "Nanni".. Fill 'em full of chocolate, give them tons of hugs & kisses and send them home... haha.. Your 8 yr old might want references from my adult sons and I don't think, from their point of view, I was a good Mom... hehe.. They're constantly reminding me of them being whipped with a fly swatter, that handle end at that!! LOL

Of course, they've grown up to be two responsible young men, thanks to me, I might add!! And I remind them of it every chance I get... Oh and it's soooo much fun watching them having to deal with what I did back then... hehe... and knowing what else is on the Horizon for them... The dreaded "Teen Years"!! Awwwww, payback is sooooo sweet!!

Hugs!!

ps: Mom ended up just shaving her head.. My sister bought her tons of scarves, hats and even a wig... Mom preferred alla natural :-)
Hang in there kiddo!!
