You aren't listed as the owner.

Ah, that explains it! Thanks!

Does that mean I couldn't delete the comment either? Unless, of course, I "adopted" it, deleted the comment, and then put it back up for adoption?

Isn't it also true that the finder has the option to allow or not allow the owner to make their comment public. If they do not allow it, you will not get the option to make it public.
Right or wrong?

Thanks, Sis, This morning Horse Trader and I are heading to Blue Rock State park then Zanesville area, due to the positive write ups Songwriter gave the area. Several boxes have been placed around there since last time we visited.

Tommy Turtle will roam once more at Mountwood park.....as soon as I get back out there to release him. I had to do some major surgery to repair his shell and reconnect his hind foot, but he made it through surgery just fine. (actually I frankensteined him and there is no telling what this new fellers disposition will be)

Friends,
I just know we're behind on sending someone trade LTCs. Please, if you have requested cards from us and not received them, send us a reminder !!????
I am not the most organized person...... and I must admit, this trading back and forth is overwhelming sometimes.

Please send a reminder if we OWE you anything !
THANKS,

Happy October 1st! It is DANG cold outside this morning!

Okay....as promised, I wanted to come back to everyone after seeing how many folks were determined to skydive. Even though we ended up with more ground crew than expected, we don't have enough actual jumpers who know they want, and will be able to skydive "for sure". (There are always more folks who opt out once we actually get to the drop zone too.) So, I will not be coordinating this. =(

If anyone else wants to do this, please feel free and this does not mean that the 3 or 4 who ARE interested can't just go on their own!! That is how most do it! Hopefully you will share your experience on our board just the same!!

I too owe cards. I have all the addresses in my archive and envelopes still. I just have to finish some LTCs to be able to send them off.

When they are done, the cards will be in the mail.

It freaked me out about a week ago. Everyone has been so generous with sending me cards to see techniques (especially embossing, is that not the coolest thing?). I do want to publicly thank everyone who has sent cards for me to see. They are all so wonderful.

Thank you all from the bottom of my blooming heart.

This may sound strange but, our solution to the slippery thermarest is to put down some of that rubbery shelf liner between the sleeping bag and sleeping pad. You can get it cheap at Walmart and it keeps your sleeping bag in place.

I love my DVR!! We have one for each TV and I don't think I could live without it now. One feature that is really nice is you can set it to stop recording later that when a show is scheduled to end. For instance, I have it set up to record The Amazing Race every Sunday on a season pass and I set it to record 1 hour longer due to the fact that football ALWAYS runs late. Now I no longer get 30 minutes of 60 Minutes and the first half of Amazing Race.

I took up letterboxing because my sister told me it was so much fun. So I started and loving it. Trying to keep my son involved. He likes the events more than the actually "hunting". And I like how it gets me out to places I would have never found before.

a nice long hike or a warm coffee shop and a good book!

All you people who want to run away could come here to NC! Coffee shops, bookstores, long hikes--we've got them right here in Asheville. In several such locations there are actually letterboxes! (Malaprop's has coffee, books AND letterboxes.)

And just when it's miserably cold up north, we've got a gathering in January, so come down now and see the leaves starting to turn, or come down in January and see the locals turn -- blue from the "cold" that is -- (which the Northerners would probably find "bracing" LOL).

Or check with the manufacturer. I have been able to purchase all kinds of replacement parts for different things, including appliance lids, trays etc.

So for the un-hatted types out there, check this site out.
