Like sleeping isn't usually an issue for me. I slept, at best, 3 hours last night and was hoping for "an early night."

Oh well. On my first trip overseas (arrival, London as it happens) I was complaining about jet lag. The dear "old" gentleman I was whinging to said the BEST life/world/travel advice I have EVER heard..and STILL PREmember it 20+ years later.

I'm equally sure he must have left us by now, so whoever and wherever you are I'd like to honor him now by saying, in the late-night light of McDs red and yellow.

I am still pretty new to letterboxing. We've just started planting this year. So far we have 13 boxes out there. I'm already a little worried! This is our little secret!!! Oh well, hopefully the craze will blow over quickly, and maybe some good new "mc"boxers will come of it! I know one thing for sure, we are going to start being a lot more creative with our clues as well as stepping up the stealth factor.

~This wonderful box by Mn8X of Columbus, OH is in place and awaiting its first finder. It will be out for three weeks and will then be pulled early in the morning on the 22nd to be sent to its next stop.

By the way, has anyone found all of them so far? I hope people are enjoying this concept 8-)

As Commodore of our local Youth Sailing Assoc it is traditional that I run a week of less serious activities in the early summer. Our lake is not very large, only about 8 acres with a small island in the middle, which restricts activities a little.

Last year we had a sailing tug-of-war, a relay race where another crew member joined the boat after each lap (did you know a Topper dinghy can still be sailed with 8 people aboard?). I thought I might try boat polo – like canoe polo but with sailing dinghies. Has anyone got any tried and tested ideas that work with up to 24 youngsters aged 8 to 16 and a range of abilities from novice to experienced sailor. We have plenty of adults and full safety boat cover and a good selection of single and double-handed craft.

I have goats but no milk ones - I want them and I LOVE LOVE LOVE goat milk and I make some good goat cheese, but I know quite well if I was sick .....I mean with even a 104 temp, I would be outside milking because the troll sure would not. So until I can make sure my calf will handle the responsibilities ....... I just dream
