Yet another board to read--OH MY! Mary and I did well yesterday finding parts of the circus train...unfortunately one of the boxes had been muggled! These were my first circus boxes and they are really neat! I was darn glad that it was chilly though--no mosquitoes to swat as we did the elaborate coloring of the stamps.
Holly the Moose accompanied us and I think we introduced her to a WI obsession...ice cream at Culver's! MMMMMMMM--Terrio

Just wanted to say Hi. Lovely weather we are having isn't it. I drove through the storm last night across Ohio to surprise JBBK. She knew I was coming, but though I would be here about 5am Wednesday. I was only 51 hours early. ;)

his is my first Mini Meet. So in the Spirit of Halloween I thought I would host one. Green Star Quinn drew the event stamp. There will also be other great boxes avaleble!

The shelter that I would like every one to meet at is Lancaster Place. Enter from Como park Blvd for the easiest access. Go down Quincy Ave and stay on that road to reach Lancaster Place witch is by the tens Cortes. Lancaster Place is enclosed and heated. It also has a kitchen and inside bathroom. There are two grills outside as well.

There are several boxes around the park such a 'Alvin and the chipmunks', 'Hockey Series' and 'Some Familiar Friends' Just to name a few. There will also be boxes planted that are themed on the event which is Halloween/ fall.

I was thinking that everyone could bring there own lunch and something to share. Then we could go to a restaurant afterward for dinner or have dinner at Lancaster Place.

Yup, it's that time of year again -- time to play Great Lakes Letterbox Bingo! The 2009 edition of the traditional GL winter game will begin on January 1, 2009. If you are not familiar with the game -- it is not a letterbox or a clue, rather just a lively diversion to help pass those cold winter months, not to mention the prize booty gets better and better each year!

Anyone can play regardless of where you live (have to be over 18 to play your own card), but you do have to be a member of the Letterbox Great Lakes Yahoo! group. Once you're a member there, you will find all of the information and materials you need in the files section of the list. You'll need to have your entry mailed to me by December 30, 2008, so if you're game for the game, you'd better hop to it!

Ok, I have 1 single day left before we head to Pokagon State park for the GLG 2009 and I have to say that today is taking FOREVER!!!

I am excited to meet all the boxers I've seen stamps for in boxes we've found. We're combining 2 of my favorite hobbies, camping and letterboxing and I think I just may pass out due to excitment. Anyone else felling like me?
