It's the perfect little drive-by during the hectic holiday season.

I planted a box at Magic Kingdom on Jan 1. Check out my
Dead Men Tell No Tales clue. =0)
(I know, I know, it's hokey as all hell) Well, how else would you write it?

I like Florida. There, I've said it. =) How much more fun can it be with alligators lurking around every corner and the threat of wild boars charging down the trail? Epcot was simply fun, walking through all the different countries. Heck! It wasn't even crowded! You should see Disneyland--now THAT'S crowded!
And all you boxers out there were so nice and friendly. What, dare I ask, could one possibily complain about in Florida? Well, okay, I have to admit, I do like mountains and the so-called Highlands had a lot to be desired in that sense, but if that's the worst I can complain about, Florida is the life of luxury indeed! =)

PS. Amanda and I got Orlando Knit Wit's Dead Men Tell No Tales letterbox. What fun!
It was really cool getting to meet you and Amanda. I wish I could have made it to the Flaming Fun Fest, but maybe I'll catch the next one.
I've lived in FL since '88. I grew up in Ohio, and I've lived in NC...so I miss the mountians myself.
But...hoo, don't tell me about FL weather. Those soft, warm breezes are nice. But I've seen hurricane winds bend steel
The jokes around here: Florida weather...we have plenty of it. and...Florida weather if you don't like it, wait a minute.
Maybe I'll get out West someday, and find out what all the fuss is about earthquakes ;-)

Come see us in August and see if you have to ask that question!!!!
I like Florida in the winter, too!
DebBee, here since 1970
That's because you were there in February! That's a terrific time to visit Disney due to low crowds. We're going in April and it'll be a different story!
Glad you got to visit some of our southeastern letterboxers down there, Ryan! When are you coming to the Atlanta area???? Hmmmm?
Amyrica
Hmm.... Dunno. Maybe I'm there already. ;o)
-- Ryan
PS. But maybe not....
Definitely! You have to watch this guy. He'll let you believe he's one place, then suddenly turn up in another! Devious and mendacious. I'm finding these traits in a fair number of letterboxers lately!
Not that I'm complaining, mind! It's turned out to work very much in my favor!
DebBee
We'll keep an eye out.....

Beachy,
I was very happy to see all those boxes in Destin! We vacation there every year, and I only discovered letterboxing AFTER we returned last year. I was happy to see I didn't miss anything, but you can bet I will be bringing some boxes to plant next time!
The mystery series planted there was by another Georgia group, 123 Family. I met them at a gathering I had at my house. Very nice hiding spots and carvings, and I think you found #3 where I failed...next year for sure!!
I hope there will be some more interest in the panhandle over the next 12 months. Maybe you could be the instigator. Plan an event and they will come!
Thank you for the adventure!

No happier than I for you to find them! I added two more boxes today to the Henderson Beach series -- now a series of 4. And I will be THRILLED for you to come a'planting. I'm going to have to travel to find boxes -- Connecticut this ain't. But on the other hand ... Connecticut this ain't!
And about planning an event ... really? You think people would come to Destin for a Panhandle Wing Ding? I've never attended an event so I haven't a clue. If I weren't headed for Alaska over July 4th I would be at Stone Mountain, but alas ....
So how about it, you Florida Loving Land Lubbers? Any one interested in a Wing Ding?
Hoping, Hoping ....

I planted a series of three boxes this morning. But I only had time to write the clues for one. I'll finish the clues tonight.
S~N~K
Is it true that love bugs were a genetic experiment gone wrong? Was Uncle Walt really cryonically frozen? And what's this about worm fiddling?
If you think you know the answers to these pressing questions, you might want to try for a trio of boxes I refer to as The Urban Legends Series
Come on now....get a clue!

I'm just glad that the storm wasn't as big as it could have been. But I'm sure it was bad enough.
Here's hoping that all S. FL boxers are doing well. And your homes (and boxes) are high and dry

There are now new clues for Love Bug Love. And the other clues have been updated.
I should call this my "Bad Luck" series. One of my false boxes came up missing. Well, I found the container, but the lid and contents were missing.
(Did you all know my false boxes have stamps too?)
And maintenance on six boxes (3 true, 3 false) is a lot of work.
But I am proud of this series.
=0)
I had to move Love Bug Love. The weeds that were knee high in June where almost shoulder high in Sept.
I'm also thinking of maybe having a gathering there this spring
Remember, the Truth is out there somewhere
Excellent plan!

ps, no we did not know there were stamps in the false boxes!! Well, now I know I have 4 more to get there
There were 3 "falsies". Now there are two. I need to get a new stamp yet. I just saw that it was missing today.
They were store bought, but I thought the false boxes were fun anyway
Still hoping on planning a gathering there
S~N~K
PS
I was thinking of carving a special stamp for the gather. For those who find all three false boxes
