When it's dreary outside that's when you need to have carving parties! And plan your letterboxes for "spring-planting". Carving and Book-binding for the snowbound! Or get on all the Postal Letterbox lists! :-)

Esmerelda, I have noticed some of your boxes here in Northern Colorado. Do you live up here or just stopping in on your flight route? I just found this site today and brought over my boxes from LBNA to add here as well. I like some of the features this site has that you don't get with LBNA. Are you "flying the friendly sky's"?
WOOT to all those CO boxers!

I am trying to track down these letterboxers from CO. I believe they have our Will You Marry Me PLB. It is very special to us as it was made to celebrate our engagement. It was dropped off with them at least a month ago. I have been unable to reach them via email or the PLB board. If anyone can help me reach them regarding this box, PLEASE let me know!

Hi from Boise, Idaho!

I need to pick your brains for a moment as our band of misfits is heading to Colorado the last week in March to ski for Spring Break. As some of you know Alex (Lizman) and I travel with a couple of non-boxers. I am not sure if I will be allowed to box during our get away however, every good boxer must be prepared that just such an opportunity will present it’s self on the road. And naturally to help my odds I am going to print every clue between here and Colorado! Okay I can’t leave everything to chance.

I need to double check that I am looking at the right boxes in the right area before I start printing clues. We will be staying in Keystone off of River Run Road and will be skiing at Copper Mountain for the week. Checking maps in the area that seems to put me in Summit County for boxes. Does that sound right? Would the closest boxes to me by in Breckenridge and Frisco? And if so does anyone have some recommendations for me with box statuses etc.

Let me know what you think and if I am on the right track if you have time!

Thanks so much! Blackvelvetrav

or anyone visiting the Western Slope.

I hope it's OK that I posted a non-traditional traditional box . . . I'm new to this, but have been lurking without logging for a year now. I'd love to see some fellow letterboxers and decided a fun way to get ya'all out to Montrose would be a letterbox (or two? Hmmm. A mystery . . . ).
How many can make it out for Alex's Lemonade Stand - Cub Scout Pack 490 box?
It was my son's idea, he's 8, a clever little fellow he is!

Come visit Montrose! Main in Motion is such a quaint, old town evening of fun and fellowship!

We'll be in Denver later this month, can't wait to check out some boxes there!

Hey! We are taking a trip to Colorado soon. I know it is not the best time, weather wise, to search for boxes (unless you're in Texas like us!) but I don't want to suffer from withdrawals, either. We will be taking I-25 from Raton, NM to north of Denver and then over to Estes Park. We will also stop in Colorado Springs as I have family there, and will spend a couple days over in the big ski area (Breckenridge, etc.). Any suggestions on boxes?

Thanks in advance!
the PEAS

P.S. I hope to leave a nice little box in Estes Park, too, for those of you who get up that way!

Those of us in Colorado, Utah and other Rocky Mountain states are more often on the Rocky Mountain Yahoo group, rather than on AQ all that much.

Stop by, say hi, ask your questions, learn about pie and pirates and so on:

Hello, Coloradans! (Coloradians? Coloradicals?)
There is a good chance I will be on a business trip in Golden, CO for a few days starting March 18th. I would LOVE to meet up with some of you! Plans aren't firm yet, so this is more of a "heads-up"...
Also, what are the "Must-Get" boxes in the area? I will probably have a car, but not much daylight time for hikes, so drive-bys or short meanders are prefered.

Ooooh, this could be fun! And anybody who buys me a beer will get mentioned in Boxers'N'Briefs (<--- blatant bribery). Looking forward to it!

Count me in!

I'd suggest that you post to the Yahoo Rocky Mountain Yahoo list...most CO folks seem to stop by over there more than on AQ (at least judging by posting rates...)

The Golden/Morrison area have lot of GREAT boxes. When you know more about firmer plans/details feel free to AQ mail me and I get suggest some boxes/meeting ideas..

To be honest, this is the first business trip I have taken in 5 years... they don't often let me out of my cage! But rest assured, if I ever need to go to NC, I will definitely be arranging some meet-ups!

Well, looks like the trip has been postponed, sorry to say. I was REALLY looking forward to meeting preboxed and murmur (and anyone else interested), but it will have to wait. Possibly the following week (March 26th), but nothing firm yet...

I will let you know the moment I know anything myself!

The current nebulous plan is for me to be in Golden, Colorado, from March 28-30 (next Wed-Fri). What time are you leaving, pre? It would be kinda funny to meet up in the airport! (I assume you will get there early for.... PRE-boarding!)

I cut out early from work on Thurs 3/29 to head straight to the airport. Work in Uptown/eastern Downtown Denver.

Not on AQ much these days...spring weather at the moment, so out 'boxing. Just happened to catch this message.

Please AQ mail me any further messages with details as you have them so I don't miss posts from you. If we can make an exchange happen with now tighter timeframes to work with, I'm still in!

Once again, my jaunt to the lovely state of Colorado has been pushed back. This time, I am scheduled to be in Golden from April 3-6. I apologize for switching this around so much, but alas, I have little control over the situation.

Pre, will you be back from your trip by then? Thanks in advance!

Just kidding. :)

I think Pre gets back on April 4, but I'm not sure.

Thursday evening is sounding like the "let's get together" time of choice... murmur, pre, any thoughts as to where/when to meet? Any other boxers able to join us???

P.S. I don't know if this bodes ill or not, but my room at the hotel is "Room 1313"...

Hi to all the Great Colorado Letterboxers! I have been very busy spring-cleaning here in Boise these past few months. But I have also had help from my friends in Colorado checking on and maintaining my Colorado Boxes. Just this weekend Dixie Peach relocated one of my Winter Friend's boxes to a new location. She also added a new logbook for me. Please make sure to re-print the clues before heading out to find "Frosty (Box # 2)"

Happy Hunting!

We're going to be in the Denver area next week and was wondering which boxes would be high (no pun intended, honest) on your list.
So far we're going to attempt the "Lariat Loop" series.
