I agree. I have about 1000 cards rigut now that I need to put in a book. It's just not going to happen. I will probably bag 800 of them up and bring them to the LTC retreat to retrade. I love looking at the cards, and do so intensely when I first get them. I'm just lazy about organizing them. So I'll go through and keep.some for future inspiration, and keep all the ones of the swaps I hosted, and send off the rest.

I have the tool. I rarely use it... but if you're feeling to experiment, try using your scissors, open them up and edge the cards in the "v" part. Works pretty much the same as the edger, and you won't cut yourself.

I haven't done it in a while but you can just copy the link to the clue on AQ and paste it into the website box on LbNA (skipping the clue)

Congratulations, Idlemoon! I found your Fijne Verjaardag! 2013 box almost two years ago and agree that your carving was exquisite. I was also touched that it was a wonderful birthday gift for Blue Delft. I am very happy that it was recognized as something special!

Hi Catchow,

What to do with your luggage while travelling? In coaches (what we call our long distance buses) your large pieces of luggage will go in the luggage space underneath. Hand luggage can be taken inside and stowed in the overhead rack. On trains there will usually be large racks just inside the carriage vestibules for large items and overhead racks for the small ones.

If you have any specific questions please feel free to PM me.

I normally use a knife. I'll have to try the scissors method.

I don't tend to layer my cards so I'm trying to figure out ways to make the edges look more finished. These are great ideas.

I want to enable my planted boxes at 1 particular location to alert box radar users to their presence. There will be 55 boxes and I want to NOT have to print clues for this particular event. This would also be an interesting way to get others to join the fun. How do I do that? I know at Lapham Peak, there is Shorty's Android Box, but he hasn't responded to my message about "how did you do that?" Please help? I need to know by July 1 or come up with a back up plan.

I've heard some people get offended if their cards are re-traded, and I personally don't really understand that. Would it be nice if everyone who gets one of my cards thinks it's a special little masterpiece that they can't part with? Sure. But that's just not realistic. Even if they can appreciate how I made the card, that doesn't mean they're jazzed by the subject, or the colours or the texture or... anything else that is subjective and might turn a person off. I have some cards that are really well-executed, and yet I am sure I'll eventually trade them away. Usually because the subject matter is just something I'm not interested in collecting. That's not my fault, and it's not the fault of the artist. Nobody can like everything, no matter how well-done it is. I'd rather have my cards find their way to someone who will really love them, even if it takes a few trades for it to happen. At the same time, I'm not going to trade something just because I don't think it's a good card. My philosophy is that if it's not good enough to keep, it's not good enough to trade.

Yes, it's May again. I'm going to be a bit sporadic in shipping out packages this month, so please be patient with me as I go tromping out in the wilderness with my family as we search for fabulous fungus. The good news is that, since Stampeaz and I moved, I am no longer hundreds of miles from the family mushroom grounds, so I'll be catching up with orders from time to time - rainy days do happen occasionally. Just don't expect the usual quick turnaround times and you won't be disappointed with the delays. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience and will get things into the mail just as soon as I can.

This family time is important to me and I appreciate your understanding!! Oh, and the Spoiler Alert for May's invoice image will be posted on the Blog tomorrow, so if you want to be surprised, don't peek. :)

I received a card that used a decorative hole punch to edge it. In this case the holes don't go all the way around the card, they bracket the carve on either side. I have a card that also has an edge cut with decorative scissors. I've found scissors that do all kinds of decorative cuts at the dollar store. I know Michaels sells them too, sometimes in a big box of assorted patterns.

So, I am trying to move from NC to TX. And I have a ton of stamps that I have carved that I just do not have the heart to pack up. Mostly stuff I have done for LTC's and such... not even sure if anyone would want them. I know I have not been on AQ much lately, but I promise to check my AQ mail if anyone wants them!

I hate when I seriously have no idea where to post things...
So, I just posted about parting with some stamps because I don't want to pack them up to move (if I can sell my house). So now I was wondering if anyone is into jewelry making and beading. I have a disgusting amount of supplies that I don't see myself doing anything with. Vintage, seed beads, findings, semi-precious, crystals, chain... you name it. While I don't think I am supposed to ask if anyone wants to buy things on this board, I just wanted to be sure lots of people saw this! (Sorry admins!!) I will post more specifics if anyone is interested, as well as price- which I assure you will be more than fair.

Thanks all!

Third post about cleaning out the clutter...
In a nutshell, I am trying to move- I have 2 1/2 or 3 binders of LTC's- they have brought me much joy and now they can bring joy to someone else. I would only want to have the shipping taken care of. The binders would be included if you like, or just the sleeve pages.

AQ mail me for details.

Not sure how, but when we have put in a new box it didn't take long before box radar found it. Try planting a new box keep checking to see how long it takes to show up. You may want to print out some copies for those who don't have a smart phone. I would also let those who sign up know that box radar app will be needed. Be prepared for early arrivals do some early hunting.

Assuming your clue is already posted on AQ, you log into your LbNA account, list a new box, and when it prompts you for the clue location, you cut and paste the URL (web address link) for your AQ Clue. It works the same way in reverse, for those who have their clue originally listed on LbNA and want to post it on AQ as well. And you could post your clue someplace completely different, like a private webpage, and link to that page from both AQ and LbNA.

I am hoping someone who lives on Cape Cod can help me out. I had a report yesterday that my box "We Love Arnold's" is a mess. My last report was in July and it was fine. Obviously, something went awry over the winter. It was my most found box and I am sad not to see all those siggy stamps. The last finder reported that the book was soaked, but the stamp was ok, also the lock and lock was not there. I am hoping a kind boxer who lives nearby can retrieve the book and stamp for me. I would like to send a new book and box and ask that they be replanted in the same location. If it is possible I would like to have the soggy book sent to me, I have had some success in drying out books for other boxers. I will pay the postage. The box is across from Arnold's in Eastham. I am about 8 hours away and due to family issues I won't be able to get to the Cape this summer. Thank you anyone who can help.

List the box on LbNA first and write down the LbNA box number. Then list the box on AQ, and you will be prompted for the clue location. Choose LbNA and type in the box number. If the clue has to be revised later, you only have to do it in one place.

there is Shorty's Android Box

If you're talking about creating a box like that one, you should probably send a private message to Aiphid to ask for info. But I suspect (though I don't know) that you couldn't really do this for 55 boxes. I've found a few of these boxes, and they're all single boxes.
