Where to plant boxes

The area just outside Joshua Tree National Park is called Desert View Conservation Area. It's off of Quail Springs Road and Onaga Trail.

This is about 15 miles from camp. It would make a nice get away excursion, but I think we also need boxes in and near camp even if they have to be removed. Especially night boxes.

Council Group Campsite - max 50 people, 13 vehicles, bookable now, $130 per night

Other places I found...

Barton Flats - no group (near Council)

Mountain Oak Campground - no group area, but they have flush toilets :)

Jackson Flat Group Campground - potential drawback - have to hike in about 200 yds

So i have been asked a few times recently if there was going to be an event this year.

I don't know.

It was a lot of work last year planting all the boxes!

If
a. We can find a good group location
&
b. Each of you is willing to help by planting a series

Then I think it is doable.
