Happy Pride Month, everyone!! <3 Is anyone planning to go to any pride parades or events this month? Or maybe plant some pride/queer-themed letterboxes? :)

Thot about it but between a heart event and omicron I can’t seem to get motivated to do much of anything. Maybe next year.

My daughter and son-in-law are hosting a Pride-themed party, which my husband and I attending. They’re asking guests to donate to a particular social cause, too, so the party won’t be all rainbow Jell-O shots and glitter! 🌈

In a nearby town, they are holding a Proud Alley Cat Race. Alley Cat races traditionally have manned (day of) checkpoints that are usually clue oriented from a "manifest" that is handed out an hour before the race starts. It requires stopping at the manned check points, getting a Stamp put onto your Spoke Card. So many cool aspects that we love about letterboxing and it supports a local LGBTQ+ group.

That sounds like a lot of fun, Rocklun! And I love that charity is included as well; it's always good to be reminded that more progress can be made.

I have never heard of an Alley Cat race but that sounds like a whole lot of fun!! Definitely sounds like some overlap with letterboxing activities.

I LOVE that Idea. I think this needs a yearly tracker! I think I might start one...

I just hosted a Pride event for our Girl Scout families yesterday. (It was an idea suggested by, and planned by, our teens.) I have a bunch of leftover stickers, I'm sure I can find one that would make a fun stamp image.
