And just a touch of OCD? ;-)

Heh...it's actually less OCD and more a design to reap as many of each seedling as possible. The way I have it, I always know what each seedling is before I plant it (because it's the only possible one from each orchard), save the ones in the special orchards, which seedlings I just sell rather than grow (since I don't need them anyway).

Though, I have to admit, I think the orchards look nicer with only one kind of tree in each. The ones that have 20 different trees just look...mismatched.

I agree that I prefer to have one kind of tree in an orchard. I usually keep only one type of tree in each orchard and only start mixing when I am doing my harvesting of my orchards as I march the trees down the line to maximise my harvest!!

I was doing this with single trees for a while (lvl 1 trees I only had one of), but now I have lately been being lazy and skipping it. Instead I have 11-12 'extra' orchards, with a single mastered tree in each one (to keep the harvest timer going), which I can then move a whole bunch of trees into at once and harvest. I generally start doing that to any tree I have gotten to 2-star mastery on, so as to hurry up the last star.

I really should go back to marching one of my single lvl1 trees down all my orchards ago... *sighs* After all, there are SO many of them now, ever since Zynga started releasing new trees twice a week!

-CQ (who wishes they'd be a little more creative and stop just making 'giant/big' trees as lvl 2 trees...only a select handful of the 'giant' trees are interesting enough!)

Am I the only one who doesn't really care that much about mastering the trees? What most of you are doing sounds like waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much work!

Heh. I'm with Ryan here :D I only play FV, so I don't mind spending a handful of minutes moving trees around to master them faster.

And if you don't like trees, then that's fine. They're not your thing :D I enjoy mastering anything I can, be it crops, trees, baked goods...heck, I'm not even that crazy about the new craftshop, but I'm still doing those for mastery as well.

Oh, there totally doesn't have to be any strategy.
It's your farm, you can do what you want with it. You could very easily just have one of each tree and master them slowly over time. You don't even need to bother with orchards to keep them in if you really wanted.
But putting them in orchards makes harvesting them easier and faster, and all the other things that Ryan and I do just speed up how quickly we can master them. *shrugs*

I'm not sure how many trees I've fully mastered--I lost count. But I can tell you that I have 864 masteries in total, and that 284 of them are fully mastered. Almost all of the crops are mastered except the newest ones, and all of the trees I had as of a month or so ago were mastered.

I'm slowing down, though.... I've decided to focus on spending the least amount of time possible on FarmVille, so I've largely stopped moving trees around (unless they're having a double-mastery special going on!). I've also decided not to worry so much about getting the five star masteries for the pub and winery I have. I have enough bottles of wine and beer for sale that if I actually sold everything that was available, I'd be up to level 200 or something in just about everything.

I've even gotten lazy about buying hay bales and selling them just for the XP. Now I buy $5,000,000 coin mansions when I'm looking to buy XP--which is an incredibly inefficient way of turning coins into XP--except for time. Time-wise, I save countless hours. Totally worth it! =)

Toy Story Scribes May Pen Farmville Film

It's funny--just last week, I was telling Amanda about a bizarre idea for a story to write during the NaNoWriMo using FarmVille as the setting. With that whole storm that wrecked Lighthouse Cove, seems like there's a story in there somewhere. I have absolutely no idea of a plot, but I was just thinking what a clever idea to weave a story into the FarmVille universe. Dorky, but hey, that's me. =)

And now I find out that they're thinking about making a MOVIE for FarmVille?! *shaking head*

So, I went with my best friend (BlackRoseVampyre) out to his sister's house today to help clean/organize her garage. While I was there, she let me run around in her chicken coop.
Look at this one I caught! :P

Too bad I can't add her to my FV farm. :D

Dangit if I didn't do the same thing!
But if I wanted to get a certain reward in ChefVille, I had to get to level 10 in FarmVille 2. I can't stand it when they do that! (But I still get sucked into it!)

That's a terrible place to get your news. I'm just about THIS close to unfriending anyone who posts a political ad. It's all junk! *nodding*

So glad I've missed all those political ads going on while I've been in France and Spain. =) I think I must commit to a program to leave the United States during every election season. *nodding*

Well, see, that's why you should have walked back to where you started. You could have been out of the country until after the election!
