8 days until the final installment of Breaking Dawn.... Somehow, I'm not feeling the buzz.... Here, there or anywhere.... Odd. Anyone else?

I'm feeling the buzz! We purchased our 12 tickets for the marathon with all 5 movies at midnight when they went on sale. :-) The theater we go to has a dine in section that is 21 and up where you can press a button and a server will appear and take your orders.... All of the seats in the dine in section were sold out within minutes.

I got the last two tickets for the Friday after work show :) What my boss doesn't know is I am leaving an hour early to go stand in line! :)

xD I'm going Friday morning.... I thought about doing the marathon on Thursday afternoon into evening (leading up to the midnight showing), but just can't sit still that long! I'm FINALLY getting excited!

I loved it! I think it was the best one yet. I must admit that I cheated and looked up reviews from the LA premiere to see what the "twist" they were talking about at the end was.... and I'm kind of glad I did. i'm not giving anything away but I will say this... I loved what they did! I'm anxious to hear if anyone else has seen it yet and what they thought. I liked it so much I went and saw it again yesterday!

Mr Wonderful took me to see it yesterday. It was EXCELLENT. Bill Condon did a great job balancing the story lines (love story/action) and ultimately stayed true to the book. The "twist" could not have been more perfect. In fact, our theater erupted in spontaneous applause as it was revealed. LOVE!

Again, there are major spoilers below.

Oh yes, that was the best. As I stated on my FB, it was fairly faithful, but still had something I didn't see coming. I was glad to be unaware of the twist. I knew that they were going to have some battle, which would have been a departure, but that was what they did a bit with New Moon and the Volturri and even a little bit in the first part of Breaking Dawn. So when the scene came up and Aro ripped off Carlisle's head, Jasper lost his head, both Seth and Leah were killed, and I think Esme fell down the crack, I was like wow, they are making this truly final. They are taking a note from True Blood and making things much more different and more violent. Then when it came back to reality, I was so relieved and so glad that they did that. People in the theater that I was in were quite surprised too.

My only issues are that Alice doesn't see the wolves or Renesme in her visions; thus that battle vision and final vision are flawed. That is why in New Moon, she believes Bella is dead; she cannot see Jacob rescuing her. Plus, Bella is the one that guesses passports and returns to get them from J. Jenks.

I said the same thing about Alice not being able to see the wolves and Reneesmee! But I was glad they added it. I agree that they stuck pretty well to the story line and I loved all of the special effects. I was glad I knew the twist because I'm the kind of person who may have been pretty upset with turn of events until what was going on was revealed.... but I've always been the one to flip to the end of a book because I just can't take it!

Just saw it tonight and I thought it was really good. I liked the twist a lot, though I was a little confused by it until the big reveal! I knew there was going to be a battle because I had seen the previews, but I was like, "maybe there was something I didn't remember from the book?" :D (I read it two years ago) but when the twist was revealed I felt much better about my memory! :D I would've liked to see more of the vampires from all over the globe and learn more about their personalities in the movie, but I guess that'll have to be saved for the book. :) Oh and the end credits were just annoying. I don't know why they had to show everyone??? People who weren't even in this movie? Seemed excessive. :) But over all, really good! :)

Actually, they included a lot more than I thought they would. I figured that the new characters wouldn't get more than a sentence or barely anything to show off their powers. I didn't think they would have time to show a developing romance between Garrett and Kate. Lee Pace, the actor playing Garrett, was fantastic. He made that character quite interesting. He's in two movies out right now - this and Lincoln. I liked the character in the book, but Lee gave him an extra depth.

My collection is complete (ahhhh). I didn't go out Friday at midnight, but did pick up the BDII DVD Saturday afternoon. I went for the deluxe edition at Target ~ with the bonus "making of" mini doc and behind-the-scenes interviews. Anyone else? :-D

I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that, oh, say around Christmastime, Summit will come out with a collectors edition featuring all four movies ~ and maybe a little something more.

I did too - I was really hoping for a trinket in this deluxe edition like there was in all the others...but no such luck.

I had the option to buy part 1 and 2 on Blu Ray for an awesome price but passed to rent it instead just because I wasn't sure I was gonna like it. I know! What kind of fan am I to say that!? But I wasn't nuts about part 1. Really thought they should have shortened it and combined the 2 parts. But I did like how they translated part 2 from the book. I have to say my favorite part was the fight. I was like "I don't remember all these people dying in the book!" and then it was just all a vision. Nicely done!

Tonight I opted for an evening of Twilight. Seeing as everyone needs to get up early, I figured I would get my fix tomorrow.... nope. Turns out I couldn't sleep. Ah well. Bring on the 12 am Bella and Edward saga.
