Quote Check out "Are you watching closely" Lb...very cool!

This one is killing me! So tell me about lifelines and how do we use them cuz I'm needing one with that one. I have solved a few things regarding it but I come to a roadblock. I have spent about 3 hrs just on the site itself!

Welcome to Letterboxing, nwbulldog! As first, and perhaps only finder of "Are You Watching Closely", I have to encourage you to please keep trying! Sondog is a talented and prolific planter, I feel so lucky to live nearby. Admittedly this is a tough one, but I think even a newbie can crack it. ;)

If you happen to be traveling along I-90 through the Idaho Panhandle this summer, do your homework and stop for one or all of Sondog's excellent boxes. Each one is a delightful treat.

I have started carpool not realizing I had yet to put my face on - and at 7:ish no child needs that to start the day - so I opened my LBpack and used markers for blush and eye color - the rose marvy/ lavender LePlumme saved my skin tone! Luckily I had mascara in the van -" a lady NEVER is without her mascara or lipstick

This could make the top 10 list of why it's better to be a guy.

Oh, see now, that's just common sense. Invariable when we buy patterned socks, one is going to be sacrificed to the dryer gods, so always have a back up!

My family was Booed a number of years ago by some friends, and we've continued the tradition over the years since then. My brothers and I thought it was so much fun that one year we had to have Booed at least 8 people... We had a lot of fun running through our friends yards at night...almost got caught a couple of times, but it was worth it. Good luck with your Booing! Teddy Hugger

We boo our friends every year :) Actually there are a few groups of our friends who try and see who can boo the others first LOL. Also for our over 21 friends who don't have kids we BOOZE them complete with little goodie bags filled with nippers, goodies, hot chocolate packages and little snacks. We also have them solve a riddle and then go on to booze 2 more people.
This year we were boozing our neighbors who had never heard of this before the same time that friends were booing us! It was great, I sat in the window watching the neighbors door to see if they answer and I saw our other friends sneaking up to our door. The neighbors came out and saw our other friends in creeping across their yard and was like....uh what is going on here? It was hysterical!

We have been Booing for a few years now too, and since moving to a new town, we have brought the tradition here with us. I think I have more fun than the kids do with the whole covert action of driving away with the lights off and hiding from the neighbors! We have also been Boozed, by LUNA crew, where the treats were little bottles of liquor! It is so much fun!!

Our neighborhood does this every year but it's called "ghosting". You leave a paper ghost along with the bag of candy and the recipient puts the ghost on their door so that folks know who has already been ghosted. When they ghost others, the idea is to get someone that hasn't been ghosted yet.

It's fun for the kids.

Just finally reading about all this several days after Halloween.

I was born in South Dakota and my parents were born & raised there.

We moved to Oregon (that's ORigun) when I was about 4 years old.

My mom told me about May Day baskets: sneaking flowers and/or candy onto your neighbors' doorsteps.

I made little paper baskets with my mom's help and snuck them on and rang the doorbell.

Several people caught me and were frankly confused. They had never heard of this.

That was the only year my mom and I tried May Day baskets. . .

Wouldn't it be fun to do this around Valentine's Day? Spreading the love?

For those of us who are newly single again, Valentine's Day can really be a downer. Singles & couples could share the love and have love shared with them. And for anyone who has a problem with the holiday of Halloween could do this!

Anybody interested?

One year, someone in the neighborhood left Easter Eggs filled with goodies on all the lawns of homes that had children on their street. I do not believe that anyone has ever confessed to being the Easter Bunny but it sure was a lot of fun. Everyone woke up to the fun surprise. The Easter Bunny had come overnight under cover of darkness.

Whe n I lived in VT. we had zuchini day, on that day it was the custom to distribute all of your spare zuchini's on unsuspecting neighbors porches w/o being caught. Does that Count as a boo

The baskets I made, being little, were the four-sided "fortune tellers", you know, with numbers and you choose numbers and the kid goes back and forth on their hands . . .

Set them point down and they are a four section basket! Make out of card stock for strength.

You can decorate the paper before you fold it up.

We will have to plan this, so LBer's across the country could do this! Wouldn't that be fun?

I guess you can see the same thing when you play Pictionary. Some people can catch the essence of the idea/word with the most simple of drawings. When I play the game with my wife's family, I get blown away by what a few simple lines can convey! In one game her brother drew >-------------

We call it ghosting too (with the little cut out ghost with the poem on it). No one in our neighborhood had heard of it before. A friend that moved into the neighborhood started it and from there it took off. Our kids love it, especially the planning and suspense of trying to ghost the house without getting caught. A lot of their friends are on 'high alert' the week leading up to Halloween in order to catch the ghosters. It is a riot to hear a kid retell a story of how one of them has to duck into some bushes all out of breath and wait until the coast is clear!

Q:Where would men be if they didn't have women?
A:The garden of Eden! (Hint:Eve ate the fruit first and gave it to Adam.
Q:Do you know how to tell if a skeleton is a female?
A:Check where the jaw bone is connected to the skull. If it's worn out, it's a female.;D (Woman pipes up and says, "That's because we have to tell men everything twice! They don't listen the first time!)
I thought you boys might find this amusing!

There had better not be ANYONE here under the age of 13. The Terms of Service clearly states in the first line that you much be at least 13 to use the site. So if you are saying that you are under the age of 13, Detective, don't be surprised if you are unable to log on in the future.
