Backstory-

I homeschool my daughter. We have about a thousands distractions at home, so this we are trying something new. We are going to library and using the study rooms there. It's working out great. The only problem is lugging her books back and forth.

Question-

Does anyone have the Crop In Style XXL Rolling Tote? How sturdy is it? School books are heavy.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Have a beautiful day!

i've got one similiar. They are very rugged. i've carried tons of albums, paper and junk to many crops. On and off and airplane also. i've had to lug it across gravel to get to the crop as we have very little asphalt here in the frozen tundra i live in. If you can find one on an auction site for a good price go for it.

My daughter has one and has used it for probably 9 years. Still in really great shape. It has fallen off the tailgate of her SUV, been rolled over gravel lots, gotten rained on...... I have the big companion bag that you carry on your shoulder. I have had it about 8 years and it travels by airline with me and all over the place with no problems. It is always packed with everything and heavy. I love it. You would do well with the XXL. Because like Deniserows does, we lug paper (stacks of it), albums, tools, stamps, ink, pens, glues, tape runners, you name it! Awesome idea for working with you daughter! Good Luck!

Thanks so much for the help! This settles it; I'm going to get it. Now to find it for a little cheaper than $9,999.00.

I have one of those. I carry my sewing machine in it. My husband got it for me from Michaels one year.

Thats the cool part. You can still use all that traditional knowledge and stuff. Just now your "pages" are 4x6 or 3x4. then they all go into a sleeve to create a 12x12 layout. add a couple a photos that you do not have to embellish or cut and voila! Your page is done. I do it even more simple that that. and just add 4x6 photo and 3x4 cards that are pre printed to fill the slots and my page is done. 2 pages to a week in our lives.

It forces us to take photos of everyday life and not always posed photos. the kids were shoe shopping the other day and said "Hey Mom! Project LIfe." I grabbed my phone took a photo and carried on. a couple weeks later the kids are telling stories about things that happened that day. when they see that simple photo. =)

sorry its so long winded. I am just very excited in the simplicity of project life.

Just had a chance to open my Tuesday Morning ad that I got in the mail yesterday. They have a Sizzix Big Kick in there for $29.99! It is the blue one. The ad says the sale starts October 6th.

Oh no! So now that I have sworn off TM because of this you make me want to go back in there! Man!! Lol The only date I could fine=d on the sale paper said "your next adventure begins Oct. 6th" so I thought that meant the sale was over then and that the sale started like their name, Tuesday Morning. I'll try again then!

Yea, I've never really understood why they are called Tuesday Morning when the sale never seems to start on a Tuesday morning! I just hope I can remember to get over there on Sunday because otherwise it will all be gone.

Yea, I wasn't going to get a Sizzix either but a couple of years ago I got a 60% off coupon at JoAnn so I bought my Sizzix (same one as at Tuesday Morning) for $40. Now JoAnn won't let you use their coupons on Sizzix machines or dies but they run them for 40% off quite often. I'm thinking I may go pick up another Sizzix at TM for a Christmas gift.

Just think of all you can do with a Sizzix! I use it for embossing quite a bit but don't forget the regular dies also cut fabric. If you sew, those circle dies are excellent for making yoyos! And use the flower dies for decorating jeans! And for those people that love to make jewelry, don't forget Vintaj sells dies for embossing metal and you do NOT need the Vintaj Sizzix. My blue one works just fine for that!

I went to my TM store at 12:30 today and they were already out. The clerk said that they only received a "handful" and that there were people waiting to be let in at 9:00. I guess I'll be looking through the Black Friday ads this year.

Archiver's - closing

I received the sad email an hour ago that Archiver's is going out of business. I always wished there was one near me and I surely would have shopped there. Alas, the closest Archiver's to my house is a little over 4 hours away but I stopped in every time I went up there. What a shame.

I'm so bummed about this! I'm not a scrapbooker, but I bought all my paper there. Their paper was so much nicer than what the big box stores carry.

Archiver's has something called Archiver's Annex and it doesn't have any sale prices up. Maybe they're moving to a total online business?

This FAQ states the Annex will also close. The email I received is titled, "After 14 years - and countless memories - we're very sad to announce that Archiver's is going out of business." The letter goes on to say that the past 4-5 years have been hard on them due to the economy as well as new technology. I assume they mean digital scrapbooking. The letter states they will have all of their stores closed by mid-February and to watch email next week for store closing details. I wish I lived closer to an Archiver's. Not only would I have been a regular customer, but the FAQ says they'll be selling their store fixtures and I'd love to get my hands on some of those.
