Dang, this would be great if not for our two new (now) 6-month old kittens that are into EVERYthing.

I have a kitty too that loves to knock things off the table. I made a big puzzle box (3' x 2.5' x 2" high. I work the puzzle in the "box" and then cover it with a baby blanket and weight it down when I'm not working. They also sell boards you can "roll up" but my kitty poked holes in the "tube" so it wouldn't inflate.

We would love to, we love jigsaw puzzles! But, sadly, we too have a kitten who loves to make off with a puzzle piece or too.

Way back when we still had a cat, we got a cardboard puzzle platform with little drawers to sort the pieces and a cover on top -- stores under our couch.

We got it from Bits and Pieces.

They don't seem to have our cardboard version anymore but they have others.

This one doesn't have drawers but has two panels to sort that then go on top of the puzzle and the sides fold in and are fastened by velcro.

Our cat scoffs at such puny attempts to deprive her of her treasures. She views puzzle pieces like we view letterboxes - there's no stopping her until she has them in hand... err, paw.

I have one very challenging puzzle in process on a large styrofoam like board the is on top of a china hutch to avoid grandchildren's hands. Also have one of the blow up cylinders with a felt wrap around and straps. Guess it would also need to be placed on high.

I love this idea! I bet it works great, sliding under the sofa. I will look around for something like this and vacuum those little dust bunnies away. ;)
