Whale now I don't need to hear that song again for another decade, but that was a fantastic cover. They do have a huge edge on Daichi with real instruments though ;)

That was a pretty bad example of Daichi's talent, but his full song videos make me smile. Anyone who's a sucker for good beatboxing though should check out an older audition video, and his battles with Hikakin are pretty hysterical.

I didn't say that.....but it doesn't trump a UK accent and you know it!

It might. I still say it kind of matters what the accent is attached to. . . .

My husband and I absolutely love Hamilton. We saw it three weeks ago, bought the soundtrack, and haven't stopped listening to it since. :)

If you have ever been in a CD mix postal ring this message is for you!

Springchick and I are hosing an even this fall entitled Playlists at the Park on October 8, 2016.

We will be using stamps and playlists from old CD mix postals that we have participated in and are requesting stamps from you fine folks.

If you are willing - please choose ONE stamp from a previous music mix ring and send it along with a copy of the playlist clearly stating the ring it was used in and your signature stamp image.

Stamps will need to be mailed no later than September 19.

We would LOVE to use your old stamps for this gathering. The stamps will be placed for the gathering and then picked up and returned to you will a special presentation for your trouble.

Please contact me with any questions and for my mailing address.
I will monitor this message and try to contact you personally if you reply with interest. :)

Thank you in advance for sharing your gift!

Any other fans out there?

Last year, one of my kids was doing a unit on Gothic literature in English class, and I pulled up "Wuthering Heights" on youtube. Both kids now refer to Emily Bronte's book as "Hwoooothering Heights"; Heathcliff is "Heeeeethcliff".

This was our favorite version, though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FF0VaBxb27w

So saddened by the loss of Stephen Sondheim. A true creative genius, I have always been a huge fan of his creative wordplay.

… But no one leaves for good … I know his presence will be felt every time one of his shows is performed.
