It was reported to us today that "the otter is really cute but the box looks like trash. It is in a tortilla bag." I can only think that someone took the lock'n'lock we planted it in and left the contents there in a tortilla bag. :( We do not live anywhere close, so if you do and you're looking for a cute otter....maybe you could please bring along a lock'n'lock and some baggies and make this box presentable again? We would be ever so grateful!!!! This is the box: https://www.atlasquest.com/showinfo.php?boxId=305228

I’m moving and need to downsize. I don’t know how to attach a photo, but this is an assortment of LTC’s, stamps memorabilia, patches, logbooks, first finder prizes supplies to make Ltc or boxes and hide them. In the Bonney Lake area. This is free to anyone that wants to come pick them up. Feel free to text me 2533946376 and I can send photo.

PNW Trolls Installation around Seattle area

Has anyone in the Seattle area been watching the Thomas Danbo's Giant Troll Project installations going up in the area and plan on setting out a series? Jakob Two Trees in Issaquah; Bruunidun in West Seattle; Pia the Peace Keeper here on Bainbridge Island; Ole-Holle in Portland; and two coming up in Ballard and on Vashon Island. Teepsman is offering to plant on Bainbridge Island if you wish.

I had not planned a series based on the Trolls, but they are definitely inspiration for future plantings! (I liked the idea of a bird house stamp near the Jakob Two Trees)

I have been to the ones in Kentucky and Maine. LOVE THEM!! It is very expensive to get into the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens to visit the Maine trolls so we were pleasantly surprised that it was only $10 car to visit the Kentucky trolls!

Hey there, just a heads up to planters in Seattle area. With all the homeless encampments around and trash everywhere, we have a group in West Seattle that are cleaning up the parks. Which is great! However, I fear that some letterboxes are definitely disappearing forever along with this clean up. Just something for folks to be aware of in our area.

A Cleaner Alki is the group on Facebook

Hooray for the cleanup but so sad if letterboxes get scooped up and tossed. :-(. The Fremont troll was one of my favorites (and the Kubota gardens! Although those are probably safe)

I've lost at least three boxes (not in the Seattle area) because the area was taken over by transients, or partiers, or other such activity. This was without any cleanup efforts - the boxes disappeared, and just the remnants of the trash and litter remained. 🙁

Has anyone rented their campsite for the get a clue event? My 21 yr old son and I are driving up from Oklahoma and I would prefer to camp near our letterboxing friends, i promise not to snore too loud.

Hi, where can I find out more info about this event? I've never been to a meet-up before, and I'd really like to meet some other boxers in person. Please don't tell me to get on FB
