I also loved hiking Camel's Hump! The B25 sight was something to see. Amazingly one man survived this crash! Be aware though that this is a 4000 footer making it a very ambitious hike. Enjoy VT! PS. VT has THE best beer and yes there is a passport for that.

I did find the brewers association app - I’ve been wondering whether the passport is a physical thing or just electronic?

Robert Frost Interpretive Trail is still closed. It's been closed since the middle of August.
I asked, they answered.
It will remain closed until the end of October and potentially into early November.

The trails have been closed since August.
They're undergoing a major up renovation.

I was told by the state forestry folks that they expected it to be open by Nov. 1st, today.
Nope, and there's still a lot of work to be done.
Not all poetry sign posts are there, some are just holes in the ground.

If you still want to go, don't go Mon-Fri when the workers are there.
East of the entrance is a small picnic area where you can park w/o worrying about being towed.

make someone smile? do you want to give someone a memory to last a lifetime? well, here is your chance! being a teenager is difficult. being a special needs teenager is beyond difficult. high schools all over the country are about to celebrate a teenagers biggest accomplishment, graduating from 12 long years of education. for some this is a time of celebration, for parties with friends. for others it is one of the loneliest times they will ever experience. we have in our community one such teenager. let us pull together to make this an event of a lifetime, a good fun memory for him. a semi drive-by stop and say good job, congratulations event. yes, it is listed under events. presents are not required or necessary but if you wish to then send me a pm. if you simply cannot attend but would like to send a card for the occasion send me a pm.
there will be an event box but at this time there are no plans for other boxes to be planted. as the event itself is only 2 hours long and/or you can just pop in you can make plans to find as many of the letterboxes in concord or the nearby towns as your heart desires.
come make someone smile!

VT boxers and anyone planning on visiting in the next few weeks;
I have a bunch of round and rectangular plastic boxes.
I'm moving and can't take all of them with me.

Any takers?
No, I won't mail them to you, you'll need to pick up the boxes from me.
Burlington area.

Awww, where are you going?

The plan is in the Raleigh, NC area.
The first offer on my house fell through.
I now have a new offer and closing is supposed to happen in January.
So much can go wrong between now and then.
Fingers crossed!

You will be missed. I was going to reach out and ask if you know anyone with a rental available. If you change your mind about selling and decide to rent, I may know some people. Lol!

There is an old box series (only 1 of 2 remain) just off the highway on the Appalachian Trail at Sherburn Pass. It was placed by Tom Cooch he would probably have to be contacted for the clues. They were on an old website of his. This box is over 20 years old. I think it is called Sherburn Pass.

Seeking help for my Vermont box

Last October, I planted letterbox #337847 (State Animal - Vermont) at the King Arthur trail in Norwich. When a finder reported that there was barbed wire in the area (which I didn't see when I planted) I changed the box listing to Retired. I am not going to be able to return there anytime soon, so am asking if anyone in the area is willing to (carefully!) rescue the box, I would be happy to pay for its return. Or if anyone is willing and able to replant the box that would be great too. Thanks!

Given that there's a new box down that way, I could certainly have a look for it and get it back to you if I can find it. Can't promise it will be anytime soon however, and if someone else responds and can do it sooner, please let them. Thanks.

There is a very good possibility that I will be visiting Vermont in the next week or two and, if so, I will be in full letterboxing mode. If this trip does come thru as planned I'll contact you directly via AQ mail.

Thank you greenmountainhiker - there is no rush, I retired the box back in December when I received the report of barbed wire. I was hoping to make a return trip to replant it, but it looks like that's not going to happen.
Thanks again.

Can't remember how close the Vermont Country Store is to B&J's but you can search for this one:
https://www.atlasquest.com/boxes/clue/?boxId=223791
It's about a 15-20 minute hike if I remember correctly. NOT a car-box.
