We went looking for your box earlier this fall and couldn't find it but I could tell you loved the carosel and took a picture of the dragon horse they have on it. I am not sure but I think it is pretty new and thought you might like to see it. I never got around to sending it to you but maybe you could carve something like him. It you would like to see it I can send you a pic although maybe it is on the carousels website. We are very excited you will replant it.

It's close, stamp is carved, log book is made, I just need to add a few more things to the box before I mail it to the Carousel. Completely new letterbox and image, this won't be a replant of the old one. Its been so great working with the Carousel Director, I'm sure that all the local and visiting letterboxer's will make this a positive experience for her.

It was mailed out today, so maybe this weekend I'll be able to post the new box. And there will be ride tokens for the first finder. So hurray, hurray, hurray - step right up! (-: I wish I could catch a ride too!

Its up! Have fun at the carousel this weekend (-:

I just have to let you all know their director has been so wonderful! I planted a box there almost 2 years ago and it went missing. They didn't know about the box, I planted it on the grounds after they had closed for the day w/o permission. She contacted me to let me know that people had tried to find it and couldn't. She even put the grounds people out looking for it. She let me know that I should either pull the listing or send another box! We've been emailing off and on for a few months and I finally got the new box ready (thanks to Simply MLE for image idea and picture) they are going to keep the new box at the gift shop. I know this is a special place, but I really feel she went above and beyond. So everyone please show them what a great group of people letterboxers are and have fun. There are ride tokens for the first finder!

Happy Boxing!

I just have to let you know, this is my favorite stamp so far! The detail is amazing! It took the cashier a few minutes to find the letterbox because he hadn't had anyone ask before, but he knew it was there somewhere and was excited to find it for me. While I was doing "my thing", he and a couple customers visiting from out of town (who had walked in on "the find") were asking me about it... so I hope I was a good "letterboxing representative". By the way, they thought I was buying your stamp and wanted to buy one too.... :)

Thanks for this wonderful addition to Missoula's letterboxes!

They were trying awhile back but I haven't heard of one this year. I live near Missoula though and would love to meet up with another boxer. I am also thinking of driving to the October event in Idaho, Boise I think.

I thought you must be "local" (within a two-hour drive) since I just found your Ravalli County Museum boxes today! I'm in Hamilton and I know we've got a few regular boxers 'cause I keep finding their stamps! :)

My family really doesn't understand my obsession and the notion that I would go to an "event" is waaayyyy beyond their grasp, so maybe a road-trip with a fellow "junkie" would be fun in the future! Because of my work schedule, I don't think I'll be able to make the Boise event... although it definitely sounds fun....

Have you been to events before? I've been reading the boards 'cause I think it would be a blast to put one together... can't be any harder than a Girl Scout camp or Relay for Life... but I'd sure like to go to one to really get a feel for it before I try to organize one....

Definitely let me know when you're coming to town next! I've had a blast finding the boxes you planted and would love to meet you!

I've been "gathering info" on how to do an event, so maybe I could put together a "meet and greet" when you're up next! Might be just the "push" I need to go from reading about them to actually doing one! :)

Funny story... I actually started letterboxing with my girls in April '07 after reading about it in a "Family Fun" magazine... I just didn't get "hard-core" until this summer....

I am SERIOUSLY planning a trip to Montana to do some letterboxing next week. I've got a pretty full schedule planned but if someone is available for coffee/a quick exchange, I'd love to meet you.

I will depart Alberta on Sunday morning, down around Glacier park (not through) on Sunday afternoon to Kalispell/Whitefish Sunday night (June 1); Missoula, Monday night (June 2); Tues - down through Stevensville, Helena and over to Anaconda; Wed Butte and Helena; and Thurs noonish in Great Falls. I plan to recross the Border into Alberta on Thursday suppertimeish.

Let me know if you might have a half hour when I'm in your neck of the woods.

Oh my goodness! I hope some of us were able to connect with you! It was the primary election on the third, and I work in the election dept of our county, so there's no way I could connect with you, but I really hope a few others were able to!

don't worry she is delaying her trip to enable passage over Skalkaho Pass on her journey. She is hoping to come later this summer.

Yes... I still have my itinerary binder (with maps and clues) tucked away on a shelf, my Montana State Parks 2014 pass tucked into a safe binder with my Passport where I won't lose them and my "PLAN" tucked into the back of my mind. I do want to complete the trip this summer. I'll let you know once I've firmed up a date and see if I can't connect with at least a couple of you on the journey.

I plan to be in Butte Montana for Christmas. I don't have a schedule yet but I would like to meet up with any letterboxers who might be available during the last two weeks of December. Anyone?

Also from time to time I will be traveling to Butte to visit family. Not sure there is much going on in the way of letterboxing in that area but it might be fun to plant some boxes. How is the attitude of the people who control public lands. I visited the Granite Mountain memorial and saw many possible areas where an appropriate letterbox series could be planted. I can't decide if I should plant and take a chance or contact an official. What say you Montana? Has anyone asked at the visitor center about planting a letterbox or the library?

Yoo-hoo all you Montana folks! I can't get back to visit Glacier again this summer, but there are reports that my Campfire Fun letterbox has a full logbook. If anyone finds themselves up that way, could you possibly spare a small, 2"x3" logbook for the small, rectangular LocknLock box that I have there? Many thanks, in advance! I will gladly send you one if necessary-just PM me! I am grateful for your help.

Hi Montana,

My Stellar's Jay letterbox is currently unavailable. I fear a girls scout troop left it exposed and a muggle found it and brought it home not knowing what else to do with it. Thankfully they have contacted me and I'm hopeful that they will replace it soon. I'll let you all know when it is back in play.
