Way to Go Jiffy!

Seems in all my mindless wanderings - I forgot to post the winning hand as reported to me by the Pit Boss. After months of digging in the dirt, being chased by barking dogs and questioned by local authorities - Nittany came through with a 4 of a kind!

I probably should have reported soon - but I think my bar stool was too close to the pool over the summer...

Big Congrats to all those that stepped up to the table and threw caution to the wind all in the name of hidden tupperware :)

Thank you! I almost missed my own day. I don’t have power or internet so I did not check atlas quest this morning like normal. I’m just sitting down to carve something 🙂

How is everyone doing? We are good. Safe but without power here at the "Doghouse".

Wood stove works for heat. Generator blasting to keep freezers cold. Candles for nice soft lighting. What else do we need other than internet.

My cell phone is toast. Using hubby's phone for this note. Family is good. I'll check back when I can.

All well here, few trees down, one of the lucky ones as only lost power or 8 hours. Daughter and family still out :-(

Gotta love the wood stoves, well worth the extra work. Generator always on stand by. The ice storm of "98" prepared us all well.

Hope all others are well and a safe working environment for all the crews restoring our utilities throughout the State.

I hadn't heard there were so many long-term power outages in Maine. We're fine here on Cape Cod. The wind was pretty crazy, and many towns were without power, but only for the day. Hoping everyone stays safe and warm, your power is restored quickly, and know we're thinking of you.

Farmington took a hard hit, as many of you may have seen on the news. The waters have receded, now the clean up. Think it will be awhile before McDonald's, Irving, and Walgreens can re-open as the water was half way up their buildings. We never lost power, but our daughter about 10 miles away still is without. Thankfully they have a generator. Just a few branches fell in the back yard. All the white stuff is gone and we see grass once again!

Thank you! I am prepared to be without power for at least 3 more days. There was just so much tree and line damage. All good because I have a generator! Im lucky. to me it’s a necessity. In 1998 I was without power for almost 3 weeks.

That was such a crazy devastating thing! Hope everyone is cleaning up ok and have a Merry Christmas!

Only a few days left to grab this box - I will be pulling it Friday evening to send to its next stop.

Just wanted to let folks know that the map portion of the August event was wrong and is now fixed. Holbrook Island Sanctuary is near Brooksville in Hancock county. Also, all the trails used for event will be in the MAINLAND portion of the park. None will be placed on the island portion.

LOL! Scott will probably suggest we get there the more direct route… on the jetski across the bay leaving from Searsport. The ride over will be calm and beautiful, the ride back will be like the storm scenes from The Perfect Storm. However, it would shave off about a half hour drive each way.

I remember saying you could jetski there. :)

We are on generator power... working remote is a good/bad thing today. Didn't have to drive - but do have to work :) The boys are home... being a distraction! We have a foot here already!

In here we got the pouring rain. So bad that my street was flooded just after my driveway. They talking about rain/snow tomorrow.
