Hi there! I've often thought of you, wondering how you were and if you were still boxing. Maybe we will meet up again some day.

Happy hunting!

TAP, the first day meeting you at the Cincy cemetery is still a hilarious moment, hanging out the open door van, acting like Jeff Probst helicopter riding!!

And the first time I met Speedsquare was in a cemetery ... hmm ... not sure what this reveals about any of us!!

not sure what this reveals about any of us!!

Mad Dawg accosted me in a trailhead parking lot. I had 4 kids with me and was slightly terrified.

I have definitely done things with letter boxers that I would not do with the general public.

Oh, please, it isn't like I'm down at the second GA lb gathering, talking to the people at the picnic table about stopping at Couch Lake and how funny She Who Plants' boxes were every half mile....only to have the person sitting to my left say, 'Thank you.'

Or insisting everyone put their shoes in the foyer because we got new carpeting just before the Winter BBQ and it was very muddy outside...only for everyone to find a cootie in their shoes later. Mwahahahaha.

The pinata containing gold foiled film cannisters containing cooties at the Lexington gathering...which of course EVERYONE dove in a grabbed, instead of the candy. More Mwhahahaha.

Miss you all! Road trip up here to PNW. What a story that would make, like the 4 strangers that rented the car during the holidays and drove 20 hours together. Which also sounds like one of the Hallmark movies.

It is possible that my journey of 1,000 letterboxers in March will take me down I-75 south from below Cincinnati. Does anybody know of a concentration of letterboxes on that route? Does anybody live along that route who might like to meet for an exchange along the way?

Thanks, R gang! I just took a peek. How big is that cemetery? Some of the boxes are listed as one to two mile walks.

Heading to Lexington

Hey everyone! We're heading to the Lexington area in a couple of weeks and we'll be staying at least a month. Any MUST FIND boxes in the area that you can suggest?

And any MUST SEE places and MUST DO things in that area as well?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

My father lives in Nicholasville so we visit the area every couple of years. This year we are doing the glass bottom kayaking at SUP and visiting Mammoth Cave. I would definitely suggest visiting the trolls at Bernheim Arboretum (unfortunately my stamp seems to have gone missing).

If you are interested in alcohol...there are many wineries and bourbon places to visit. Our favorite is Boundary Oaks with Cinnful 69 (fireball but much smoother). The Ale 8 factory in Winchester is a non-alcoholic option but the website shows that tours are suspended.

If you have time and transportation, then visit Louisville and Cincinnati while you are there.

I have not had a lot of luck getting stamps to stay very long, but I am also not local so I don't have the advantage of knowing the local tricks. I plan to try again when we are there in July.
Gingerbread Event Box

Hello.

I have the Gingerbread Event box by paper trail that includes 63 stamps and props to go with them. I will be using these at an event in early June but we will be traveling from Maine to Nicholasville, KY in early July so I am hoping to be able to pass these along to an interested boxer. Anyone interested in meeting up to get these?

No. I dropped from that event because there is an event in Vermont on the same day so I pushed our road trip out until July so I don't miss the two New England events in June.

I am looking for someone to pass them along to so I am hoping not to have them after my road trip in July. We are traveling from Maine to Nicholasville KY. Then to Mammoth Cave, Gatlinburg, Washington DC, and back to Maine. If someone wants to grab them for the Night Castle event that would be great.

We managed to find quite a few boxes this trip. Thank you to everyone who planted. We planted a couple of boxes to show our appreciation.

Visiting in Kentucky near Cincinnati

Planning on being in Cincinnati the weekend of September 23-25 for the Bengals Rams game on Monday night. Will likely be boxes somewhere during the daylight. Is anyone in the area up for a meal exchange/meet/greet? Probably staying somewhere around Florence, KY but in town during the day and early evenings.

Probably taking the AA from the Ashland area to Florence.
