There are all sorts of boxes scattered from Iowa City down through and around Burlington, and a bit to your west and southwest, not to mention a few sitting in my house waiting for spring. You will not be bored.

A thoughtful letterboxer sent me a pine cone to be planted in Maine as part of the Pine Cone Project. I know her name and address but didn't jot down her trailname. Please pm me so I may give you proper credit as carver when I plant.

My husband, our two kids and myself are going out to Iowa in September! I was wondering if there are any letterboxes along I-80, or not too far from it, that are must grabs. Anywhere from Pennsylvania to the Des Moines area of Iowa. We're going about 40 miles west of Des Moines to Stuart.
We will also be going to Winterset to see the new John Wayne Museum!

We want to stop a few times along the way. My husband is going to take two weeks off so we're taking our sweet time. Lol

Help needed in Iowa City. Box One of "M's Quest" Replanted today (rainy day) and found the 4th tree cut up pretty bad so we put the box under the 3rd tree but it needs to be hidden better with a couple of rocks or something. Could a close by boxer help out please? Let me know if you can.

If anyone is interested, a substantial number of new letterboxes were just published in the Austin, MN area. That is the far South Central Part of Minnesota, so not that far away from Northern IA. Also, should you choose to get these, we highly recommend the new and improved Spam museum in downtown Austin. It's quite nice. That is all.

Twelve years ago, I had no idea how much pleasure I would get from letterboxing, or the places I'd go, or the challenges I'd meet and survive, or even the new skills I'd learn. For me, letterboxing has been a life-changing experience.

All you Iowa boxers, get ready to play the latest edition of the longest Bingo game in the world, Great Lakes Letterboxing Bingo! Based on boxers, boxes, and events in the six Great Lakes states from the traditional Yahoo Great Lakes board (OH, MI, WI, MN, IL, and IN), the game is open to anyone who would like to join in the fun. And Iowa is pretty much an honorary Great Lakes state.

The game start Jan. 1 and continues with one word called per day. A great way to stay connected to letterboxing and letterboxers thru the winter.

I will be in Burlington tomorrow and Sunday (attending a wedding in Biggsville, IL on Sat.) and wonder if there are any 'gotta have' boxes. My printed clues are about 1 1/2" thick & I'm overwhelmed at going through it all tonight. I'd love to meet up with anyone if they're available. I'll be at the Fairfield Inn.

I just learned that if you do an area search, for instance around Burlington or Biggsville, the map view list of boxes shows the blue diamonds. Maybe that would help?
I'm not available this weekend, unfortunately. There are boxes in that area I don't have yet.

Will you be going enroute near Keokuk? Caveman-80-inc. has planted a great series in a cemetery there. It is Pop Culture in 2016 (10) AQ 286067. The secret is to go in the main entrance.

I'm in Ames for the Odyssey of the Mind competition at ISU, and tested positive for Covid. I need to get to Des Moines on Sunday May 29, 2022, so I can rent a car and start driving my way home (the only Ames car rental place is closed until Tuesday).

I know this is a longshot... But are there any folks local to the area that has had Covid recently or otherwise doesn't mind driving me from Ames to Des Moines?

Oh no! I am so sorry this has happened to you. Aren't you there so your children can compete along with your mom and dad? I really hope you can get home successfully so you can take care of yourself and I'm praying everything goes well for your kids and the grandparents!
