Little late in the Congrats, but the sentiment is still as meaningful. Thank you for making this hobby so fun (& at times frustrating). Thank you for being helpful when I was completely stumped. The enjoy your enthusiasm and friendship. Happy Anniversary my friend!

It seems you need to recruit some new boxers. We have the same problem here in East Kern County.

We used to have a lot of boxers in the Bay Area, including Sonoma Co. The numbers have dwindled. <sigh>

Someone from Sacramento sent me a stamp - but forgot to add their trailname. If you could shoot me a private message to remind me what its for that would be helpful. :)

You have a new boxer in CA named Pigwhistle ... per her words she lives in the East Bay Area, in Pleasanton and Dublin. If anyone lives nearby to that area, would you consider reaching out to her here? She is brandy new to boxing, discovered it on the internet and does not know anyone else who does it. She came to my Zoom for beginners the other day and is all excited to be a part of this hobby! Thanks, folks!

The Best Bite in Davis
Board: State: California

A new show premiered on the Food Network a few days ago, called The Best Bite in Town and the first stop was our hometown – Davis, California! They featured six local eateries, of which we’ve personally frequented four. Now some of you know that DoubleSaj and I are proud members of the Davis Odd Fellows Lodge. Two of these establishments have close ties to our lodge: The Hot Dogger and Handheld Sweet and Savory Pies. Both owners are lodge members and the latter does a weekly dinner buffet for the lodge.
The other restaurants were Zumapoke, Hikari, Sudwerks, and Tommy J’s. My favorite burger in town is Tommy J’s 'shrooms burger and it wasn’t even presented on the show! In all, these 6 eateries had 12 separate “bites” featured on the air. Of these, nine are new to us and we are looking forward to trying them.
EVERYTHING looked and sounded great! If you want to know who won, you’ll need to watch the show.
There's nothing like good eats!

What? No Murder Burger?!?! (I laugh, but I guess it closed)
We will have to try out some of those locations next time we are in the area.

Murder Burger (renamed Redrum) closed 5 years ago, it basically could not compete with In and Out, which had opened across the street. Redrum's burgers were great, but slow to make and there was zero ambiance inside or out. In my mind, TommyJs' burgers are the "replacement" of Redrum's, but TJs has atmosphere.
Just heard that the next airing of The Best Bite in Town will be in Placerville!!
