This is totally non-letterboxing related.

I'd like to write my grandmother's health aide a thank you letter in Slovak for Christmas, but I don't speak (or write) Slovak. Is there anyone out there that could help me?

If no one steps forward, google "slovakian translator" and you'll get some free online engines that will do it. Granted, they won't be perfect and tend to translate literally rather than idiomatically, but you'll also find links to services run by real humans. Don't know what the cost would be.

You might also try the language department of a local university, if that's available.

Hey there, After a solid 7 year hiatus from planting letterboxes, I finally dusted off my Speed Ball carving tool & some PZ-Kut and got my rear in gear to carve a stamp and place a letterbox in Bratislava. We had the opportunity to take a long weekend trip to Bratislava and after scouring several letterboxing websites searching for possible letterboxes to seek out during our trip there, I finally realized there aren't likely any letterboxes throughout the entire country. Hopefully, our recent plant there has changed that. We noticed there are HUNDREDS of geocaches throughout the country but alas no know letterboxes. If you find yourself in the area of Bratislava, check out our Hrad Bratislava letterbox. It unfortunately isn't anywhere near the Bratislava Castle (we just couldn't find anyplace where we'd think an orphaned letterbox would survive the test of time near the castle so we opted to hide it further north in the city in a large wooded area that offers quite a few recreation options as well.
