Thanks for the updates Glenn, we sure hope he gets over this soon!

Me Too!!
I just checked AQ E mail and here is what I received from Sandy:

This is the noon update:
Chris has been up in a chair since 9:30 am. Still up and ate a full breakfast and now a sandwich for lunch along with a dish of ice cream and COFFEE.

Attending physician was in and has told him he won't leave ICU without the temperature staying normal...no time specific. He will continue to see the Pulmonary AND the Infectuous Disease physician who will find out WHAT IT TAKES to get him well.

He won't go from here to home, but will go to a regular room. (That means that Icu will be another day or so and then as he progresses a regular room.

Well, its been 4 1/2 hours since then and no more news. I hope the old adage of "no news is good news " holds true.

Thanks for the update Glenn. I talked to Sandy last night and asked if there was anything she/they needed and she said SLEEP. I'm hoping she was able to get some rest last night at home. It's a very positive thing if he's sitting up and eating and having coffee. Continuing to pray for our buddy Coffee Mug and everyone's favorite granny Sandy.

I just got off the phone with Sandy at 4:55 and we have good reason for optimism. Although Chris still has a slightly elevated Temperature 101º to 102º, the doctors have his elevated heart rate back down to normal and have verified there is no infection in the blood stream. It is still certain he has pneumonia but the outlook is not as bleak as it was this morning after a rough night. The source of the elevated heart rate was determined and eliminated (I hope) and now it is a matter of keeping a close eye on the pneumonia in one lung. He has been put on a different drug, which I can neither pronounce or spell and I hope it causes speedy improvement. Chris was telling Sandy what to say during the phone call, so I know he is feeling half way ok and there were some jokes thrown back and forth so that confirms the 1/2 way feel good, further. I want so badly to give you the gist of those jokes but Sandy would not approve of me going public with them so I must refrain. Just know that he is still witty as ever. End of this report

Thanks for the update Glenn. And I agree with what Jeeves said. You're a good friend. I appreciate you keeping us updated so Sandy isn't getting bombarded with phone calls. That in itself is exhausting. Please let them know we all love them and keeping them in our prayers.

Hi Melissa and here is another update. Things are looking better and Chris' temp has been pretty much under control with the help of Motrin. Sandy got some sleep today at home but still spent about 4-5 hours at the hospital with less grumpy Chris. His two bowel movements seem to have made him less grumpy.....or so says Sandy. Maybe I need to start asking Georgette to go to the bathroom first thing every morning.
Hopefully Chris' temp will remain in the normal range over night so he can get out of ICU but that still remains to be seen. Past few nights says that is not is going to happen but will let you know tomorrow.

Glenn/SM

Thank you Kilroy for your prayers. Apparently the prayers are helping. See note below that I received from Sandy a few minutes ago:
Chris is much better today. He was up using his thing that will clear the lungs to expand them and has been without fever since the 99 temp last evening. PRAISE GOD.

He expects to be moved from ICU today according to 1 of 4 doctors he is seeing.

We are so grateful that he is improved.

Thank you for your prayers.

Well, I talked to Chris for about 15 minuites today and he sounded pretty chipper. Of course he is weak, from being down and in bed a lot but his spirits are up. Fair to middlin chance he will be released tomorrow. If Sandy does not post the good or otherwise news tomorrow, I will.

I just got off the phone with Chris and he has just been released from the hospital and boy is he happy. He said they were headed for the Bar but I do not believe it for one minute. I figure they are headed home so he can figure out if he still rememebers where his bed is. He is headed for back to normal but still has a ways to go. Bug doctor has him on medication for at least a week and they will converse to see if further medication is required. I think we can breath a sigh of relief and they told me the prayers helped Chris to get out as soon as he did and they want to thank everyone for their thoughts and positive vibes through prayer.

I think I will tell Sandy she is back on her own for further updates.
Over and out!

I've been away from the Ohio board for sooo longover 700 posts behind but am almost caught back up. For some reason that 713 posts dropped by almost 100 posts over the past 2 weeks??? What have y'all been saying that has caused posts to be MOVED or DELETED?! LOL Was it comments about those dentist youtube videos???

I had heard through private messages and have sent greeting cards to both Glenn and Chris (and Alex) and am glad all 3 are doing better and now hope Sandy can hang in there taking care of the guys in her life!!

Note to self and others--NEVER (and I do mean NEVER let SM know about your bowel movements or anything else soooo personal)!!! OMG - lol!!! YIKES!!!

Congrats to ALL who had any part in this year's OH-mazing Race!!! What a hoot and then some! P-pack
you guys are doing next year's race??? Yee-haw maw!! I'm so close to you I can feel the engines running!!! THAT will be a treat! Congrats on your article---although by the time I got to the link, it had changed to a Boy Scout being honored for saving 2 women from drowning! Wish I hadn't missed that! Mega thanks for everyone who took time to post details. I hated missing the race but thoroughly enjoyed reading the adventures!

Rose--no matter WHAT the topic, your comments are always hilarious!

I know I'm forgetting some stuff BUT I am especially happy to throw my high fives and congrats in to both speedsquare and jeeves for hitting their F-1000!!! VERY proud to call you both great letterboxing friends!

Hugs to all of y'all!!
