Hi Everyone,

It occurred to me today that it might be nice to have a list of where everyone is staying at the campground; a campground address list, so to speak. It might be especially handy for meeting new people, finding people you want to invite out to box with you, etc. If you don't want to be included in the list (what, privacy?? ), that is certainly a-ok. But, if you are ok with being found easily, please send me an AQ mail with your trailname(s) and campsite.

Who's getting excited???????????? This weekend is going to be a blast. :-)

I'm in Site 30 - as close as I could get to the restrooms!! and still be near the 300's.

Although I registered for occ 4 and 2 cars -- I'm travelin' alone on my way home from Back to Our Roots, VT. I'm not sure how many tents are allowed on the site, but I can at least provide a parking spot. I'll be checking in FRI and out SUN. Let me know if you want to share (sewsewbizzy at yahoo dot com)

PS - I may be able to supply some firewood for you all too as long as you don't mind cutting the sticks and branches into smaller pieces. I have a heap of dead wood out back. I'll supply the hand saw - you cut and carry!

Our "Tune" stamp and LTC's will heading to you via mail first thing Monday. I can't remember if you wanted a logbook with the stamp?

We'll be taking you up on that firewood offer. Here in NY you're not allowed to bring firewood into the state campgrounds from more than 50 miles away due to the invasive species of bugs that can kill the trees. Is it the same deal there in MA?

Interesting! Makes sense. Not sure what the regulations are here in MA, but we have you covered. They can clock the mileage to our house and back from the campground on one hand. Pretty sure that's close enough!!!! ;o)

At issue is the infestation of the Asian Longhorn Beetle. There are several areas near us with watches issued, most significantly Monson Village in Milford, NH. They cause the death of sugar maples, a huge concern here in "syrup" country!

I saw a news story somewhere recently about the restrictions on bringing your own firewood while camping. Folks often bring their own from home, no matter how far they are traveling. The wood can be infested with bugs native to "home" that are then introduced somewhere else as the firewood sits in a campsite waiting to be burned...
