The Hobby Lobby in Charlotte had the price of some of their ink pads reduced earlier this week but their supply was very limited. I don't generally shop at Hobby Lobby so I'm not sure if this is usual practice but it's worth a shot if you have one near you, especially since today is a better shopping/gathering supplies day than boxing day.

I went out to check the mail.... having to walk down the sidewalk to cross the street in front of my neghbors house..... half way there...... a BIG OLE PICK UP TRUCK went by........ through an equeally BIG OLE water puddle...... a BIG OLE WAVE of water hit me and drenched me from head to toe. It looked like something out of the movies.
I called him an even NICER name than I had called Charlie just a short time before.......
also not to be repeated here.

I tried to dry myself with my hair dryer.... but I'm just going to have to change my clothes....

Good Afternoon, Everyone...

We went out early this morning, braving the rain & wind to go boxing... went over to Gibsonville, NC... found nine boxes, got drenched to the skin...and, have now settled in for the rest of the week-end to do some carving & get some boxes ready to plant.

Hope everyone has a wonderful afternoon.

- - Dina - - guess we have no 'wisdom' either, seeing as how we were out prowling the woods in weather only fit for ducks...LOL

Y'all are very brave indeed - it has not stopped raining here all day and we still have a soccer game to attend this afternoon! So we too will be getting drenched but not doing fun things like boxing, alas!

What??? Didn't stop me! I got 22 boxes today!

It was wet and it was muddy, but onward we went...I ended up with 30 finds for Friday and Sat. combined and planted 5 new boxes in Valdese. Sadly, the 2 boxes that were there are gone.

Red fire found quite a few for boxing only on Friday and then Sat. evening after his Boy Scout Merit Badge College Class. He earned his Dentistry merit badge.

Airstream Dreams did very well too. We were soaked but laughing and having a great time together.

We stopped by the seekers around lunch time, hoping to catch Dina B., but she had just finished her lunch break and had returned to work. We found Charlie and visited for a few minutes before continung on...

Sat., we didn't make it back to Lincolnton for dinner with Mama Wolf. By then we were ready for home....warm baths, warm pj's and sleep.

No boxes for us yesterday, but a really good day nonetheless!

We had a gymnastics meet at our gym. I showed up dressed out to practice judge, then found out one of the judges hadn't shown up, so I had to be an official judge! Got to judge vault for the first time! I had to judge Little Tumbler, but another judge was there for the last session, so I didn't have to judge Lizard Breath.

Little Tumbler had her best meet ever! She got 1st place on Beam, 2nd on Floor, 5th on Bars, 6th on Vault, and 4th all-around.

Lizard Breath was first on vault (even without me judging!), 3rd on Bars, Beam, and Floor and 2nd All-Around.

I'm so proud of my girls!

Still waiting on the snow, here. We are actually on the eastern edge of the storm warning, but the stores are still packed!

Little Tumbler had her best meet ever! She got 1st place on Beam, 2nd on Floor, 5th on Bars, 6th on Vault, and 4th all-around.

Lizard Breath was first on vault (even without me judging!), 3rd on Bars, Beam, and Floor and 2nd All-Around.

WOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO way to go girls we're proud of you keep up the hard work.
