Altoid Tin Dimensions?

Can someone tell me the dimensions of a standard Altoid tin? It would be super-helpful if I could get the dimensions of the rectangle created once you've figured in space lost to rounded corners.

Sorry, I'm writing on my lunch break at work, and don't have this information in front of me.

Thanks, y'all!

I'm fairly certain this is a regular size tin: 3 13/16" x 2 7/16" (includes hinges & rolled edges).

So, is that the interior or exterior measurement? I don't want to make the mistake of carving somethign that won't fit in the box because of those rounded corners.

I've already made *that* mistake!

Exterior. Here's the interior: 3 1/2 x 2 1/8. The curve goes about 3/8" in from the corner. By my ruler, the straight length on the sides between where the curves start are: 2 7/8" x 1 9/16"

If you look critically at the image from "Another Snowy Egret," you'll see that I had to do some creative cropping to be able to jam the rubber stamp into that tin. Poor egret lost a few tail feathers as I was putting him in his coop.

So you probably wouldn't use the 3/4" MasterCarve block for an Altoids tin?

Wouldn't that make one interesting HH Hostel? I different HH in every tin? Except, of course, one for the Hostel's stamp & book. Wow. Hmmm...

Actually, it is a geocache with the logbook in only one of the tins. You have to search the 20+ something tins for the logbook.

I was thinking it would be a perfectly eviiil box to be planted for a road rally. You could be delayed by several minutes looking for it.
