Field Trips and penguin boxes

I so wish I could go tomorrow, but will think of you all as I sweat through Kindergarten graduation. At least it is the last one (barring surprises!)

TMD and I got out this morning for some humid hiking and pulled a fair number of Penguin Patrol's boxes for her. The following are no longer available in NKY:
Crystal Pepsi, Its Up to You Make a Difference, Bases Loaded, All Aboard, Merry Christmas, Mugsy Motley, and Cowabunga.

PP has some great artwork in her stamps and her logbooks, so I hope we will see an occasional visitor from her! She will be missed!!

Everyone enjoy the weekend and the Field Trip. Hopefully I can catch up with you all some time soon...

I wish I could go too. We just got home from Gatlinburg and it cost us $245.00 for gas down and back in 3 days. I've been selling pencils on the street corner to try to get enough money for next Sat. gas. lol

I'll see y'all next Sat. Have fun tomorrow.

MS,

Thanks for letting me know about Penguin's boxes. I still had not gotten Cowabunga because I was afraid of the train and my friend Antimony had warned me about this one.

And I know how you feel about the lack of response.

Thankfully we did not have those thunderstorms that others were referring to. They must have gone north of Cincinnati.

Awww..you all do read my posts and don't hate me!

I feel better now!

MowizLiz-TMD was in charge of the handoff and i think she met PP this evening. I came home, played Mom and went to bed with a migraine. Ick.

LS-Cowabunga was not bad if you thought outside the box (pun intended)--it was a darling stamp; defintiely one of my favoirties.

And I see my buddy Crunchy Mama, transplanted from NY and toting a newborn (!), has planted her first CInci stamp. LIfe is sweet in the Queen City.

Thanks! I knew she was there, but hey, I was trying to Ho-Ho-Ho my way around with getting them here when she's here next weekend.

...and there was this trail up the back side of it...but way cool when the trains came by. No danger, LS! Fun stamp too.

I will say, when we pulled it today the foliage was quite dense and the path was not nearly as obvious as in the winter. Lots more trash too, so I think it was time for Cowabunga to surf on.

That Penguin is sure on the move this summer! She's been down here the last two weekends tying up loose ends, I know she is vacationing in VA soon and apparently passing through Louisville as well!?

I bet you can Ho-Ho-Ho your way to a few of those boxes--All Aboard is a definite must if you haven't seen it yet. The log book is pure art!

Hi,

I am now truly sorry that I was such a wimp about Cowabunga!!! Oh well....

PP's boxes and logbooks are amazing and I will miss them. But I have found most of her's in Louisville.

As for the Queen City; I have found almost all of them and now have to venture farther and farther from home. But I do look each day for new plants and do notice some new people in the area. And some are planted on the west side of town!! For those of you who know Cincinnatian's and know that if I live on the East side what that means!!!!!! I have to venture into unknown territory....

Today, the exHarley guy and I will be moving Lindsay of Lindsay's Snowman fame from her dorm into an apartment. And it is her 20th BD today. I am really afraid for what we will find, worry about whether this apartment that we have not seen will be big enough for all of her stuff ( and that she is sharing with two other roommates, but one has sublet it for the summer to two guys and there is one bathroom) and how the apartment will have been left since the previous occupants moved out YESTERDAY!!!!! Oh does this bring back the memories.

I hope that all of you enjoy the Greenville event; I am sorry to miss it.

LS
