I thought it might have been Ben at first too, but then when Jack first reads the article in the paper, he breaks down and cries. I don't think he'd have that reaction for Ben. Just my opinion.

true...normally, but at this point he really wants to get back to the island and maybe he thought that Ben would be able to tell him how to get there, and now that opportunity is lost. hmmm, Lost opportunity. ;)

Jack said he was neither friend or family...so why would he shed a tear at all?
and Kate, when Jack said to her he thought she might have gone, said why would I go to the funeral? ...making me believe this person was not well liked.

at first i thought it was michael in coffin, then maybe kates mom,on the hopes he would see kate but then he has kates phone # .Thje big bet is it is ben but still going back to michael.The oceanic 6 got me . I still have doupts who came back . Is charlie realy dead?

I realize there is a big problem with coffin size here.

I think it could be Hurley. He seems like he is going to betray everyone and tell more than he should, hence the no-shows at the wake. It seems he doesn't really know anyone besides the Losties (at least people who are visible to everyone.) I don't know, I thought of it watching the finale a few days ago and it's been bugging me. I hope I'm wrong.
